Central premise of the tweet super underestimates the difference between america A and america B Anyway there’s at least 8 japans
There is Japan A and Japan B. Westerners associate Japan with Japan A, which includes minimalism, Zen Buddhism, appreciation of handicraft, manners etc. etc., but there is Japan B too, loud, chaotic, kitsch, cluttered, sexually explicit and also kind of "3rd-world".

Jeeesus christ. DELETING FILES JUST DELETES THEIR REGISTRY ENTRY. THEY ARE NOT GONE UNTIL THEY ARE OVERWRITTEN.
🚨BREAKING NEWS : Your "deleted" photos aren't deleted. Claude Code found years of them sitting in a hidden cache on my iPhone. I plugged my iPhone into my MacBook to run a backup. I had Claude Code doing a security check at the same time. It flagged something I wasn't looking for. A directory called PhotoData/Thumbnails. Thousands of files. Photos, videos, screenshots. A lot of them were things I had deleted. Photos from a couple of years ago. Screenshots I took and deleted a few seconds later. Stuff I went into Recently Deleted and cleared. Some of it was still sitting there. What I found in that cache: - old screenshots of banking apps - photos I deleted right after taking them - random pictures I didn't want on my phone anymore - a few things I specifically remember deleting more than once When you delete a photo on iPhone, iOS removes it from your camera roll and Recently Deleted folder. But it keeps a compressed copy in a Spotlight search cache so your phone can still find things when you search. That cache doesn't get fully cleared. I checked which apps had Files and Folders access. There were more than I expected, including apps I downloaded a long time ago and forgot about. Any of them could potentially read files from that cache. I went through the list and removed access from most of them. The prompt I used is below. It doesn't take long if you already have a backup. How many apps on your phone have Files access right now?

This is genuinely just like amateur hour shit. Like what do you mean the audio leaked with an aircleaner? Either he just hit the video button or they totally bypassed it and plugged directly into the mixer and then didn’t say anything.
Ethan Klein purchased a $20k button that cuts off visuals and audio and replaces the streams last 20 seconds with a personalized H3 Podcast loading screen. In 2024 during a segment, Ethan hit the button in order to berate his employee AB. Only the button malfunctioned.

Heckler definitely got him with that

Really funny to see all these people who haven’t seen the movie come at it for a hacky ironic needle drop but if you’ve seen the movie you’d know that if anything it’s almost too sincere and sentimental.

Still think about this one sometimes. Less than a minute and by the end you know exactly who she is.

Younger movie fans love to say shit like “horror is becoming one of the most reliable performers at the box office, which is crazy”. Just a really funny thing to say about something that has been true since my grandmother was a child. She’d have been 105 next year btw.

Counter-melody that starts about 30 seconds from the end of the clip has been my favorite stretch in popular music since I was like 13

Lol the most important thing they needed to do was hire an editor that didn’t suck ass but they couldn’t even do that. Maybe they all said no

Incredible work in the replies here.
loved YOU CAN SEE ANYTHING (2026) but... the film failed to conclusively demonstrate that any of the tech actually works. like... it kinda all hinges on whether or not Theranos is real

Literally the exact same thing as reporting on sports books
Is this shaping up to be one of the biggest prediction market whiffs of all time?

Dense forests* *apartment buildings in queens
Purdue University's IDEAS Lab built an autonomous drone that tracks runners through dense forests completely without GPS or cloud networks. By running 3D LiDAR mapping and obstacle-avoidance AI entirely on-chip, it can weave under tree canopies and predict target movement through blind spots in real time. Massive implications for next-gen search & rescue and edge AI.

This just seems like the most tense, uncomfortable working environment of all time. Just constant button pushing and passive aggression punctuated by angry outbursts that are ostensibly bits. How did people watch this

Well that explains something that was very confusing to witness
there’s this tiktoker that goes around exposing japanese people who attach tiny cameras to their shoes or bags and record under women’s skirts and the way they react whenever they get caught always kills me

At first I thought they were runners but it seemed weird for them to be wearing street clothes. Then it became clear that the one guy was being chased. Other people clocked it but nobody seemed very concerned.

Taizo harada is one of those guys that’s prolly one crossover hit away from being the third japanese man they put in hollywood movies
