People who claim this is “pointless” should be ignored. It’s the same people who say protesting is pointless. When history shows that it can cause impact. Look at Destiny 2. Perfect example of the community fighting for that IP and actually getting transparency now.

You could. Some options if you want some ways to show up besides just signing and sharing the petition: 1. N7 Day Play Day: Saturday, Nov 7th - Play Mass Effect LE on Steam (best timeslots are 11 AM–2 PM PST (2–5 PM EST / 7–10 PM GMT / 8–11 PM CET). This will create a big spike to show on SteamDB's charts as proof of demand. Console and EA App players can take screen grabs and videos and post them with the hashtag. - ONLY play what you own. Please don't buy new copies from EA rn, so it doesn't look like the IP is earning just fine while in the vault. 2. DA Day: Fri Dec 4th - DA fans join in to push under the #SaveMassEffect tag and prove demand for ALL of Bioware's worlds to help BOTH franchises. 3. Game Awards: Thurs Dec 10th - Post #SaveMassEffect in the stream chats and on your feeds, especially during EA segments - Follow the Destiny 3 campaign's "play nice" rules: Keep to one message (#SaveMassEffect), No rapid-fire repeats, and don't attack other games, studios, or their fans while they're on screen. 4. Make content - Youtube shorts, Tiktoks, and Reels: favorite moments, characters, "what Mass Effect means to me," or explain the petition. - All using the same hashtag and maybe a link or QR to the petition. 5. Buy ad space - Billboards, especially digital ones which often sell short with affordable time slots. - Youtube, Spotify, Tiktok, Reddit, and other website ads. - Pooling money through a transparent crowdfunding website usually goes further than going solo, since many ad platforms have minimum spending - Use text and original art, not EA logos or official artwork. - Every Ad should point to the petition 6. For Canadian Fans - Contact your MP and representatives, from any party. Bioware was an Edmonton studio, and the closure is a Canadian jobs story too. 7. Support the Devs - Follow and support former BW devs in whatever they do next. We want the people who built ME5 to finish it. 8. Most importantly - Do NOT harass devs, journalists, or other fanbases. Disagree with an article? Answer it with facts, not insults. - Every respectful post makes it harder for anyone to dismiss us. N7s don't give up. Keep fighting. Hold the line.

I no longer feel that this is just a movement to #SaveMassEffect, but a movement to shout at gaming companies to stop killing franchises and stop sitting on IP's without ever having the intent to do anything with it. I guess the real question is, can we #stopkillinggames

EA employees are speaking out about mismanagement, GenAI push and BioWare’s closure🚀 ✅Employees report that the "do less, better" mantra has simply resulted in handling the same workload with fewer staff. ✅Upper management is heavily promoting generative AI (specifically Claude), telling staff that adoption is mandatory for the future. ✅Workers believe the technology is being pushed to test how drastically EA can cut headcount while maintaining output. BioWare’s Decline & Closure ✅BioWare was repeatedly forced to abandon its strengths (narrative choice, consequences, companions) to chase unprofitable live-service and multiplayer trends, wasting significant resources. ✅Studio leadership grew overly reliant on user experience research (UXR) and fear-driven decision-making, stifling creative risk-taking before the studio's closure. Source: Vertical Slice Disappointed, but definitely not surprised. So much of what’s said reflects very much how many of us felt, as it was quite obvious for the last 10-15 years. Risk-averse development, “do less” mentality, cost-cutting..etc. I feel really bad for the studios and talents that had to be suffocated under EA’s mentality. It’s obvious what kind of people they were ever since they tried to gaslight gamers into thinking single player gaming to be dead.

According to Polygon’s estimates, it would take $5 million to maintain a 50-person studio for two years leading up to the release of ME Universe. If everyone who signed the petition so far pays $80 for the game, @EA will receive $18,680,880. Come on, @EA, this is just a 5-day petition—sales will be even higher – #SaveMassEffect

One thing about #SaveMassEffect: What really sucks & cannot be undone is all the folks at BioWare who lost their jobs. Even if EA licensed the IP, that doesn't solve anything for them. 😕 Someone with a lotta cash would have to license it AND hire the team.

The closest I’ll ever get to being up in lights in Times Square, I suppose. Look twice: That phrase isn’t Keelah Se’Lai. It’s the other Quarian prayer. The one I created for #MassEffect Annihilation and name of my ship. Not “by the homeworld I hope to see one day” but “by the homeworld I hope to find one day.” I remember sitting right where I am now and crafting it out of scraps of Quarian grammar and my dusty linguistics degree.
