Paper ballots don’t crash, don’t need updates, and don’t go “offline” at 2 a.m. Funny how that works.
Hand-counted paper ballots: No electricity required.

I just realized that next April is when @RichardGarriott gets the Ultima rights back. And it's also the 35th anniversary of Ultima VII: The Black Gate. Portentious.

Just so we’re 100% clear: A Haitian gang abducts four Salvadoran soldiers from a United Nations mission. The President of El Salvador launches a rescue operation to bring back his people. The gang leader asks the UNITED NATIONS to rescue his gang from the rescue operation. No words.
BREAKING: Notorious Haitian gang leader calls for peace talks after El Salvador President Nayib Bukele deploys 2,000+ troops to crush gangs & rescue 4 missing soldiers.

After this election, even before they’re sworn-in, newly minted politicians will go behind closed doors in the swamp to pick the majority leader, minority leader, whips, etc., and to nominate a Speaker. They’ll vote for candidates who promise campaign cash, good times, good committee assignments, and subcommittee gavels. When it’s all said and done, your Representatives will also pledge their congressional voting cards to the leaders of RED team and BLUE team, who are secretly playing on the same team. That’s how your election will get stolen. I compare these Representatives to Jack who traded the family cow for magic beans… but in this version of the story, the beans never sprout and lobbyists eat the beef.

Firefox in 2006: Firefox will never sell your personal data! Firefox in 2025: Never mind. Let’s pretend like we never said that. Also, let’s bundle spyware into Firefox. Firefox in 2026: “How is the Internet less private than in 2006”?!?! You want to know why the Internet is less private than it used to be? It’s, at least in part, because of you, Firefox.

Since riots are now spreading across Europe, there are some simple things any country that wants to avoid them can announce. Anyone found guilty of rioting/looting: - who is a foreign national will be immediately deported - who is a dual national will be immediately stripped of their citizenship, then deported - who is an asylum seeker or has been granted asylum, will be denied asylum/deported - permanently banned from receiving any benefits/welfare of any kind - given harsh custodial sentences Announce this now and avoid riots or watch your country go down the route of France and Germany.

If you go to bed on election night and don't know who won a midterm congressional race, that's normal. And if you wake up the next morning and find that a candidate who was behind hours earlier has since pulled ahead, that's normal, too. (via @PolitiFact) to.pbs.org/4zqnWBa
