🚨Power Lines Down Across WB I-70🚨
Troopers are assisting with traffic on westbound I-70, at the 122 mile marker, west of Columbia in Boone County.
A construction crane knocked down power lines and crews are on scene making repairs. The westbound lanes are closed at this time.
From 6 p.m.-6 a.m. daily Oct. 26-29, overnight utility work will take place on Chapel Hill Rd just east of South Fairview Rd. During work hours, traffic will be restricted to one lane, with flaggers directing drivers through the work area.

Public Works will host an informal open house Wednesday, Oct. 28, from 5:30-6:30 p.m. in Conference Room 1B of City Hall (701 E. Broadway) to discuss parking concerns along Meadow Lane.

Beginning Monday afternoon, Oct. 19, Ameren will close the intersection of South Seventh and Cherry streets to make emergency repairs to a gas line. Work is expected to take several days.

This Pedestrian Safety Month, remind yourself that shorter days and evening commutes require extra caution. ⚠️
🚗 Drivers: Slow down, especially at crosswalks and in hard-to-see conditions.
🚶 Pedestrians: Follow the rules of the road and use crosswalks when available.
