I have not done my research to double check that this is true. But I’m pretty sure that it is. And if it is, it should open the eyes 👀 of every single organization in major league, baseball, college baseball, and high school baseball. To me, this is a “great awakening “ to what so many of us know wins… but others have refused to acknowledge for so many years….
The Rays’ formula for winning baseball:
• MLB’s lowest strikeout rate (18.6%)
• AL-best batting average
• AL-best stolen base total
Now they’re AL champions and heading to the World Series.
They’re proof you don’t have to out-slug everyone to win. Put the ball in play, run the bases and make the other team defend.

Another strong look at FR RHP Cameron Lawson (@JohnWood_bases).
Long, lanky levers that get down the mound with a clean arm.
FB played at 86-88 mph with a low-70s BB & feel for 75-76 mph CH.

James Day and Cameron Lawson getting some work in the Juco Showcase Saturday
👊Here is our Saturday rotation at Dinger Classic👊
📍Oasis Green / 11:10 am / vs 3 Rivers

@DingerJUCO @ScoutConnectBB
@Lawson27Cam had a good showing at the scout day today. Fastball sat 87-88 with 8.4 ft extension
FR RHP Cameron Lawson will be an upside arm to follow for @JohnWood_bases.
6-foot-4 frame, cruised in the upper-80s, ++ extension.
Spun two different BB & flashed late tumble with SPL.

Pittsfield’s Hayden Gratton and Quincy High School’s Cam Lawson ignited the offense Saturday night for Illinois in what ended up as an 8-7 victory in the 12th Missouri vs. Illinois baseball all-star game. Sports Chris Duerr put together these highlights.
