October 26 is National Pumpkin Day.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again: Roasted pumpkin is delicious! But carving pumpkins and pumpkin spice are definitely traditional ways to celebrate as well.
I keep getting the vibe that things in the next year will either get much better, or much worse.
I choose to look at this as an opportunity to celebrate the end of uncertainty.
It's good to know that I'll always be remembered on my birthday!
I wish the next year could see more chances for me to bring shared happiness to my spaces instead of just putting out figurative (and literal!) fires.

The chaos seems to have died down in my area.
I wish I could say events have given me fodder for my writing. But the truth is that NORMAL™ people are weirder than scifi aliens – My beta readers can't stretch their willing disbelief enough to make the leap work.
Have you ever encountered a level of stupid that made your brain go blank when trying to respond?
(And no, my posts don't count. 😜That's too easy.)
I'm talking about basic life necessities where you are genuinely at a loss as to how the person has managed to last this long.
I can't make any jokes about autocorrect and autocomplete that haven't already been maybe. But I hate the funny out of the bulk she it gives me, especially on the phone. What am I even don't?
