Anti-India bias is deeply entrenched in NYT. Unable to look at India objectively. They do great dis-service to India-US relations. India would be better off if NYT closed its office in India. They just feed prejudices against India internationally. This is their agenda anyway. This Polgreen lady is carrying on NYT’s anti-India vocation. Is there a country where everyone is satisfied with the government’s performance, individuals don’t complain and protest demonstrations don’t take place? Democracies always have opposition and discordant voices will be raised. Is everyone in the US living the American dream? Look at what is happening currently in prosperous societies like France, Spain, Portugal etc. This Polgreen lady uses the technique western journalists use- interview unknown individuals who will conveniently criticise and complain and then project it as the opinion of the man in the street . NYT and the liberal western media can’t swallow India’s rise under a purposeful government. They salivate at the idea of widening popular opposition to Modi about whom this benighted lady recalls all the negatives, including Gujarat riots, US visa denial and so on. That the government made large scale police deployments which this journalist- activist decries was to prevent street violence and police action of the kind seen in France. A blatant hit job by NYT.
