A waterfall of poppies Thousands of crocheted red flowers cascade from church ahead of Remembrance Day
More than 200 volunteers aged from 6 to 92 spent months hand stitching 6500 crocheted red poppies that now cascade from the 50ft tower of the 15th century St Peterโs Church in Inkberrow Worcestershire creating the illusion of a red waterfall falling towards the war memorial.
The display honours the 34 men from the village who lost their lives in the First and Second World Wars ahead of Remembrance Day on November 11 after organisers exceeded their target of 4000 poppies by 2500 with some flowers flown in from Lanzarote.
