Until now, there has never been a facility in OKC to take cargo containers off of a train. So, companies like Hobby Lobby unload the train in Dallas and bring a truck up I-35. This is not ideal for business, but it also adds to the truck traffic on the highways we use for our commutes. Today, that changed. Today, BNSF unveiled its new intermodal facility in Southeast OKC, made possible by the commitment from Hobby Lobby to use it. Today, Hobby Lobby is the first customer, but this facility will now be available to all companies in OKC, for both their import and export needs. This was a great day for OKC’s economic infrastructure!
