I love designing. Writing the case study afterwards? Not so much. So I’m building Kaseo. Your Figma work + a few questions about your decisions → a case study you can edit and share. A little peek at where it’s at 👇 Join the waitlist: kaseo.design/

I've made YouTube videos before, but I've always struggled to stay consistent. So I've been quietly building something to help me. And after talking to other creators, it seems I'm not the only one who needs it. Join the waitlist: outlina.ai

I’m a designer building an app with AI for the part of portfolio work I always put off... Writing the case study. Every time, I think, “Why can’t my Figma file be enough?” The screens are there. The decisions took months. Now I have to explain it all from a blank page. So I’m building Kaseo. You paste a Figma link. It looks at your work, asks specific questions about your decisions, then turns your answers and real designs into a case study. If you need to get your portfolio together, I’m building this for you. I've quit building @framer templates. Almost every day someone asks me: "How have sales been?" "How's the template business doing?" "Are you still making Framer templates?" So let me answer all of it here. Yes. I've stopped. This has been a hot topic ever since the marketplace changes that came with Framer 3.0. The days of multiple sales a day are gone. Completely dried up. I rarely get a sale now. I'm not here to bash Framer. The opposite, actually. The platform and the community changed my work and my life. Selling templates opened my eyes and earned me numbers I'd only ever imagined. My lifestyle improved. I took care of my family. I bought gifts for the people I love that I'd always wanted to buy. For that, I'll always be grateful to the Framer team for building this platform and this community. But here's the reality. Despite the team's ongoing effort to fix the marketplace and get it back to what it was, my sales are still declining. And honestly, whatever changes they make, my sales won't recover unless my templates sit in the top 50. That's where the sales happen imo. Even then there are other problems: Discoverability, template quality and so on. (I'm not getting into that here, so please don't ask below.) Getting into that top 50 is a tall order when new templates keep flooding in with no proper review process. Again, not a dig at Framer. Just my honest take. My templates are still listed, but I won't be making any more until I see a real difference. And I can't sit around waiting for this business to come back. It's time to move on. Everything I've learnt from selling templates is coming with me into the next venture. Lastly, thank you to everyone here for the support and for following the journey. I wouldn't be here without you. I'll keep sharing as much as I can and I hope you take something useful from it. Below are a few throwback pics from the early days of selling templates. And I'll see you in the next one.

A few of my designer friends are putting together case studies right now. And as a fellow designer, I know how much we all hate writing portfolios. So I’m building a tool that creates a high-quality case study in a few minutes, without you having to write it. Anyone want to try it?
