Two days ago I said something besides prices jumped out of the numbers. Here's the full story. The Red Tide didn't flip. It went out. Trump brought 77M voters in 2024. House Republicans got about 55.6M this week. Precinct data across 9 states shows Democrats kept 82 to 101% of their Harris voters. We kept 57 to 69% of Trump's. Out of every 100 Trump voters, 63 voted R, 4 switched, and 33 stayed home. That's not fraud and it's not a realignment. It's our own people sitting it out, and the drop was steepest in the reddest counties in America. I lay out the numbers and what it means for 2028 in The Republics Edge:

Everyone's blaming prices for last night. That's part of it. But dig into the numbers and something else jumps out.
Montgomery County, TX gave Trump the biggest raw-vote margin of any county in America in 2024. +45.
Last night? Paxton won it by 22. Cut in HALF in the reddest stronghold in Texas.
MAGA voters who showed up still went 99% R. So the base didn't flip.
A lot of it just didn't show up.
Who sat it out? The "teach them a lesson" crowd? Principled conservatives who won't vote lesser-of-two-evils? The podcasters who blackpilled half the right?
Full breakdown coming on The Republics Edge once the turnout data lands.

Liberal wonders why so many Americans have concerns about Islam gaining influence and political power in America.
This. 100% this. Iโm 60 years old. My house is smashed by a tornado spun out of a late season hurricane even though I was on the west side and my Jeep was ruined so I canโt enjoy the best season of the gulf coast weather and now I have to deal with this.
Absolutely embarrassing and the worst ใฝ๏ธ๐season of my lifetime.
๐ Bring back insane asylums.

The fuck you mean 2020? Try the man sitting in the White House right now.
Absolutely the most pathetic performance Iโve ever seen by a Michigan football team. And Iโm pretty old. The coach and his entire staff should have been fired before they hit the locker room. Embarrassing.
๐ This canโt take it anymore.
At least now we can be like Sparty and pivot to basketball season before Thanksgiving.
โSomeoneโs gonna have the game of their life tomorrow. Why not you?โ

Every sailor knows you don't skip muster because you're mad at the chief.
Even in Florida, which we held, a University of Florida analysis found 68.4% of registered Democrats voted compared with just 62.6% of registered Republicans. Their people showed up for muster and ours left holes in the line.
To the podcasters who spent two years telling conservatives voting is pointless: congratulations. You did the left's persuasion work for free.
The good news is that a loyal voter who stayed home can be brought back. A voter who defected is a lot harder. We have two years to fill the ranks.
Fair winds. I'll see you at muster.

"The Democrats flipped Republican voters."
No, they didn't. Brookings says the sweep came "less by Republican voters switching sides than by discontented Republicans staying home." Only 6% of Republicans crossed over in House races.
Compared with Trump's 2024 totals, Abbott was down 30%, Donalds 32%, and Ramaswamy 36%.
We didn't lose the argument. We lost the muster.

To everyone who stayed home to "teach them a lesson":
Here's the lesson Washington learned. Reuters has the House at 250 Democrats and 157 Republicans, a 40-seat swing. The Senate is 54 to 44.
That means two years of subpoenas, a stalled agenda, and judicial confirmations at risk for decades.
Nobody in DC reads an empty ballot box as a policy memo. They read it as a loss, and the winners call it a mandate.
You didn't send a message to Washington. You sent Washington to the other side.

Van Jones said it on CNN Thursday:
"The Republicans never figured out what we were doing. There's something called the American Accountability Network, tens of thousands of online humans, not bots, coordinated to make the affordability message a winning message online."
The "affordability" wave was organized. ๐งต
To be fair: prices were high. CPI hit 3.7%, mostly energy. Republicans spent big too (SLF $533M).
The pain wasn't made up. It was AMPLIFIED, and the explanation for it was tested, funded, and enforced.
Republicans had the facts. Democrats had one message.
Part one was about the voters who stayed home. Part two is coming on The Republics Edge.
