Day 13 of Building in Public 🚀 💻 Mac App Spent most of today working on my Mac app because I’m planning to open the waitlist to everyone THIS WEEK!! 🥳 Finally the landing page is DONE! → Finished polishing the landing page. Super happy with how it turned out! 😁 → Set up a proper email service for the waitlist. Signups, welcome emails, and notifications are now taken care of. → Finalized the waitlist and launch pricing. → Reached out to a bunch of builders on X to get their early impressions of the landing page. Really curious to hear their honest feedback and see if the value is clear to them. Feels good to finally have most things in place. Just a few more things before I open up the waitlist! 👀 🚀 Launch Indie Apps Didn’t get much done here today as my focus was entirely on the Mac app. Traffic has dipped a little lately 📉 Not too worried though. It’s still early, and I haven’t been marketing it much lately. Some days will be slower than others. I’m still confident it’ll keep growing in the long run! :) Sometimes you just have to give one project your full attention to get it across the finish line. One day at a time. One of my replies got more impressions than all my posts combined 😭😂 Not sure whether to laugh or cry at this point haha. X is weird man 😅 Also woke up to another 50+ new followers! 🥳 Super grateful for that and all the meaningful connections i have been building along the way 🫶 Here's what's on the plate today: 💻 Mac App → Fix a few remaining UI issues on the landing page. → Share it with a couple of builders to get their first impressions. I want to make sure the messaging is clear and people immediately understand what the app does before opening up the waitlist to everyone. Haven't done enough of that over the last couple of days. → Reach out to more indie iOS app makers and introduce them to the platform. Still a lot of work to do on the distribution side. Failed submissions now retry automatically, with nightly resubmissions for recent listings. → Set up weekly SEO health checks and regular fact-checking for all 44 guides and tool pages. Traffic has dipped a little lately 📉 Mostly because I haven’t been marketing the platform enough on X over the last few days. But here’s the good part: → We’re still getting discovered through AI search engines like ChatGPT! → Google Search traffic is also holding relatively steady 📈 Really nice to see people discovering the platform even when I’m not actively promoting it. That’s exactly what I’m trying to build. A platform that can grow without depending entirely on my daily marketing efforts 😁 💻 Mac App → FINALLY finalized the app icon after 30+ versions!! 😂🎨 Never thought an app icon would take this much effort, haha. But super happy with how it turned out! → Made app switching and scheduling smoother. → Added a new comparison section to the landing page. → Added light and dark mode to the website! 🌗 Quite a productive Monday overall! Lots of small improvements, but we’re slowly getting closer to where I want these products to be. One day at a time. One improvement at a time. Hope you all had a productive Monday, legends! And I'm enjoying every bit of it! 🫶 Anyway, lots to get done today: 💻 Mac App → Finally finish the app icon! 🎨 → Refine the onboarding experience to make it as smooth and simple as possible. 🚀 Launch Indie Apps: → List the platform on a few more directories. → Reach out to websites featuring popular "Where to launch your app" and "Product Hunt alternatives" lists. The goal is to get Launch Indie Apps featured on more of these pages. Every relevant mention helps with SEO and increases the chances of getting discovered when people ask ChatGPT or Perplexity where to launch their apps. We crossed 1,300 followers 🥹🚀 3 weeks ago I was at around 650. Doubled since then. The last couple of weeks have been insane. My goal is to reach 2K by the end of this month. Tbh it looks difficult. 700 in 5 days 😅 But I'm going to give it my best shot. And even if I don't hit it, I'm already so happy with where this is going and what we are building here 😃 The growth is nice, i am enjoying building products and sharing with you but the best part has to be the conversations with you all. Super happy to see things moving in the right direction 😁 → Also, we got another sale today!! 🥳 One more indie app is now listed on the platform. Honestly, seeing that sale notification pop up never gets old 😂 💻 Mac App → Spent some time working on the app icon today. Finally getting really close to the design I had in mind! I was honestly getting a little worried that finalizing the icon would take forever. But it’s finally coming together, and I’m really happy with how it’s looking so far. Not a whole lot of building today, though. Spent most of my Sunday relaxing, enjoying time with family, and having some lovely conversations with you all here on X.
