Itâs a good benchmark. I would bet general models will exceed human performance on it within two years.

Almost all AI model and agent progress is downstream from evals. Open weights post training for specific domains comes down to evals. Agent improvements in the applied AI layer is all about evals. Agentic enterprise deployments that actually can augment work is all about evals. Itâs all evals.
This will become a core competency of any enterprise in the future. The companies that are able to best understand their own (and/or customers) workflows and how well agents participate in that work will be in the best position to actually drive real automation.

Thoughts from a Labour MP:
âWe have to face up to the fact every single one of them is fucking useless. Andyâs strategy has been a disaster. Angela bottled it. Ed clearly a hiding to nothing. Wes AWOL. God knows what Catherine West is doing. Not quite sure how we ended up here.â

The UK is already seeing the benefits of being an AI hub. But weâre not doing a good enough job of explaining the opportunity ahead.
I wrote for @thetimes today on being an ambitious nation again - and the need to fight the AI doomers.
We had similar opportunities in the internet era, but failed to seize on them. We canât miss again.

Buy GPU's said @TheAhmadOsman, so I did and had no clue what I was doing.
3 months later I have a fully local AI research operation, a solid understanding of AI, and confidence that AI will not take my job.
I ask you, for the sake of humanity: buy a GPU, learn to host your own intelligence.
Thanks to those who I learned from: @steipete , @0xSero , @Teknium , @LottoLabs , @NousResearch , @TheAhmadOsman , and many more I forgot to mention.

One of the UK's most exciting AI companies is about to raise $200m at a valuation "well above" $1bn.
@cusp_ai is going to be one of the UK's breakout companies of 2026.
The company has already partnered with the likes of Nvidia, ASML and Hyundai.
Everyone I know that is close to the business is INCREDIBLY excited by what it's building and how well it is doing.
It was founded in 2024 by Chad Edwards (@ac_edwards_1) and Max Welling and is a Cambridge-based startup building a generative AI platform to accelerate the discovery and design of new materials.
@yazhous of Bloomberg is now reporting that the company is raising $200m at a valuation "well above $1 billion".
Amazing news.
Definitely one to watch.

Every time you fly anywhere on earth. It traces back to Croydon. âïž
South London. 1920.
The world's first international airport. The world's first air traffic control tower. The world's first airport terminal. The world's first airport hotel. đš
And the word Mayday.
In 1923 senior radio officer Fred Mockford needed a distress call. Most flights went to Paris. So he chose the French for help me.
Mayday. Mayday. Mayday.
Used by every pilot. Every sailor. Across every sky and sea. đ
Charles Lindbergh landed here in 1927. One hundred thousand people came to meet him. Amy Johnson took off from here in 1930. The first woman to fly solo from Britain to Australia. Winston Churchill took flying lessons here. George VI got his wings here. đŹđ§
It closed in 1959. The building still stands. In Croydon.
Every international airport on earth. Every air traffic control tower. Every Mayday call. Traces back to South London.
This is the kind of history we were never taught. đ

Only a few days left to tell the government what you think about them yet again lowering the emission for wood burners by 4/5.
They are asking for sweeping powers to be able to enter your home, fine you up to ÂŁ2000 a time and accumulate fines for 'repeat offenders'.
Please do take your time (5 mins) to give them your view. I just did!!

A founder of a SF-based startup asked why are we not using AI to code, or an app called Cursor (??)
He said it writes code 10x faster than humans an everyone uses it in Silicon Valley
I asked him: âbut who reviews the code for compliance?â
He looked confused and said âdude what we just ship it to prodâ
I started sweating from anger but calmed myself and explained that in Europe, we have a Software Quality Assurance Board that reviews every line of code before deployment
He said that must âkill momentumâ
I said momentum without oversight kills startups, and promptly called California authorities to report unreviewed code deployment at the startup
They asked me to stop calling them every day with âstupid shitâ
Silicon Valley is completely doomed

Recently met an American founder at a conference
He asked why I donât âjust expandâ my startup to France
I explained it would require a new VAT registration, French employment contracts, and hiring a French data protection representative
He said âbro just launch and figure it out laterâ
I simply couldnât believe my ears and nearly choked on a paper straw that started to dissolve in my recyclable paper cup
This is why American startups fail. They donât understand that âfiguring it out laterâ means retroactive fines dating back to the first day of operations
Iâll take compliant growth over the regulatory time bomb any day

Not to question Elon's business acumen, but that sharp turnaround wouldn't have anything to do with his current position of influence in the Trump administration ... ?
I.e., X is valuable because Elon's favour is valuable?
