A year ago today, we marched in solidarity with others around the world for #JusticeForGeorgeFloyd and #JusticeforBreonnaTaylor , in Zurich Switzerland. I’m still so very moved to have been a part of the 20’000 people who showed up and showed out in Zurich. 🙏🏽👊🏽👊🏽✊🏽✊🏽

Hakeem Jeffries will become Speaker because he will have the votes. Social media doesn't pick the Speaker; the caucus does.
Schumer should pass the torch. If not, someone will have to challenge him. 👀
The real power sits with committee chairs. They set the agenda and hold the gavels.

Terrence K Williams is having a meltdown because Republicans didn’t suppress enough Black voters

Sure sex is great but have you ever seen a Democrat win a senate seat IN MISSISSIPPI?! 🤷🏾♀️
Projection:
Democrat Scott Colom is the Projected Winner in the Mississippi Senate election. He will defeat Incumbent Republican Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith.

Schumer perhaps but Jeffries it’s not happening. Also for white folk to insist that we abandon him is ridiculously borderline absurd. Not happening — look at the caucus and then look at Mississippi, Georgia, Texas etc NOT HAPPENING

I wish my mother could have seen Georgia last night.
When she called on women to become the soul of the nation, she was asking us to help shape what this country stands for and how it treats its people. She spent her life putting those words into action.
I thought of her as Keisha Lance Bottoms became the first Black woman elected governor of a U.S. state. I thought, too, of the Black women who went door to door, registered voters and organized for years. Many did not live to see what they helped make possible.
Congratulations, Governor-elect Bottoms. Congratulations also to Penny Brown Reynolds, Georgia’s next secretary of state, and Tanya Miller, our next attorney general.
I’m thinking of the Black girls who will grow up seeing women who look like them lead Georgia. I pray they see what my mother saw in leadership: the power to make life better for others and the responsibility to use it.

SCOOP: @JoeBiden has been working the phones since Monday, making around 40 calls, as he watched the party he once led have explosive victories from his home in Wilmington. Biden spoke to Beshear, Lance-Bottoms, Bayh, Shapiro, Amy Acton, and more:
