U.S. cyber premiums rose from $2.75B in 2020 to $7.46B in 2025, without broad purchase mandates or a dedicated taxpayer backstop. AI presents new risks, but insurers have centuries of experience pricing uncertainty. @raylehmann on lessons from cyber and D&O coverage. 馃敆猬囷笍

There was nothing wrong with the mode of textual analysis put forth in J. Evans Pritchard's "Understanding Poetry." John Keating was a pretentious douchenozzle, demonstrated by how completely he misunderstands both Frost and Whitman.

There's an episode of the new season of Nobody Wants This set in NY instead of LA, and they opt for vaguely "indie" music cues instead of the usual girlie pop, and the two leads are hardly in it at all. And it is by the least annoying episode in the history of the series.

After many years of watching GBBO, I'm now accustomed to the, by American lights, bizarrely specific meaning they assign to "dessert" and seemingly ever-expansive meanings they assign to "pudding." But the abbreviation "puds"? No. No no no no. Stop it.

Also, "bread and butter pudding"? That's French Toast.

Amy Acton's mom looks exactly like Paula Pell as Ron Swanson's mom in Parks & Rec.

This is the exact same confusion that leads Brits to say Americans pronounce it "parsta."
Apparently Sade鈥檚 name is pronounced Shar-Day. 馃く

The reason Elizabeth Holmes could find Who's on First funny without actually "getting" the joke is that the wordplay is not what's funny about Who's on First. What's funny about Who's on First is Lou Costello. The wordplay is just the canvas for him to do his thing.

Betty Gilpin is absolutely the perfect actress to express wordless frustration with how ridiculous Ethan Hawke's Lee Raybon character is. So glad this show is back.

Blaming the Rays' attendance problems on fans having to cross a bridge to get to the games elides that there are more people in Pinellas County (who don't have to cross any bridge) than in Milwaukee County, and yet the Brewers still easily outdraw the Rays.

Milwaukee County's 924,216 people comprise about 58% of the Milwaukee metro area. Pinellas County's 948,563 people comprise about 28% of the Tampa-St Pete metro area. It really shouldn't be close. And it isn't close. Just in the opposite direction.

A great opportunity for a role I once held. Pass it on if you know someone who would be right for it.

Three of these (including the only two that are actually competitors) are already owned by the same company (McCormick). So the question is really whether it would be a problem for two hot sauces and a spice line to be owned by a company that also makes mayonnaise. Uhh, no?
Hellmann's mayo McCormick spices Cholula hot sauce Frank's RedHot What do these products have in common? One company could soon control them all. I have concerns that McCormick and Unilever's $45 billion merger could increase YOUR grocery prices.

Ken, 89, and Maureen, 79, first met at their senior living community about four years ago. The couple, both widowed, said neither expected to find new love and a new appetite for adventure at this stage of life. wapo.st/3TkPYOV
