This week @RomigRocks @ASDschools students picked up over 120 pounds of trash on campus and collected data using @ArcGISSurvey123. They will now be analyzing raw data and location and brainstorming ways to improve our campus. @ASD_STEM

What an amazing day at @RomigRocks @ASDschools with Model UN. Heard from @CNN Hero Teresa Grey of @MobileMedicsInt and @holageorge of the Anchorage Assembly. As Assemblyman Martinez said, “Block by block, we can change the world.” Starts with all of us, especially our youth.
As part of a polar unit inspired by my journey as a #gtf2020 with @LindbladExp and @NatGeoEducation I took @RomigRocks @ASDschools students to @AESymposium, the largest annual Arctic policy gathering in the US. We met with Sen. Murkowski on Alaska as the only Arctic State… 1/3
And heard from Arctic experts and policymakers from other Arctic countries, listened to a great panel on the need for meaningful bipartisan climate action, and spoke with various Arctic stakeholders. @jackdurkee12 from @TheWilsonCenter also met with us to discuss think tanks 2/3
