Socialist Florida Senate candidate Angie Nixon recently paid a Jacksonville auto body shop nearly $7,000 for “vehicle wash & road services.” The shop is owned by Nixon’s brother-in-law, @ThomasCatenacci reports, and the only “road service” it advertises is towing—for a $150 flat fee.

Milwaukee just won the World Series for the first time in the history of the franchise. Go back to the first night of it, and the man they sent out to throw the first pitch. He walked to the mound wearing another man's jacket. A plaid sport coat. One of Bob Uecker's actual ones, off the rack in his closet. Robin Yount is the one who asked. When he found out he had the first pitch, he went to Brewers broadcaster Lane Grindle and asked whether it would be appropriate to wear a plaid jacket in honor of Ueck. Grindle told him he thought it would be incredible. Then Grindle went a step further and asked Uecker's family whether the crew could borrow the real coats. They said yes right away. So Yount walked out in Bob Uecker's jacket. And then on the mound he took it off. Underneath was a Brewers jersey. Number 19. UECK across the back. The entire radio crew wore the coats too. Josh Maurer got the one Uecker wore in the Miller Lite commercial with Whitey Ford and John Goodman. Outside the ballpark people were setting Miller Lite cans down at the foot of the Uecker statue. Now understand why it had to be Yount. He played 20 seasons and every single one of them was in Milwaukee. He was the starting shortstop on Opening Day of 1974, at 18 years old, and he did not stop until 1993. He finished with 3,142 hits and all of them came in one uniform. Bob Uecker had been in that radio booth since 1971. Which means Uecker called every game Robin Yount ever played. All 2,856 of them. And in 1982, the last time this franchise got here, Yount was the Most Valuable Player in the American League. He hit .414 in that World Series with a home run and six runs batted in. Milwaukee lost it in seven games. Be straight about what tonight is and is not. Robin Yount is not a World Series champion. He got one chance at it, in 1982, and it got away in a seventh game, and he retired in 1993 without another. Bob Uecker did not get one here either. He passed in January of last year at 90, after 54 seasons calling Brewers games, and the team won it twenty-one months later. The booth has his name on it now, which is not the same as having him in it. So the two men who gave this city the most got the least out of tonight. But on the first night of the whole thing, one of them walked to the mound carrying the coat of the other, took it off, and showed 40,000 people whose name he had on his back. Milwaukee waited 57 years. Those two waited longest.

Marc Elias's name just landed in the "second Dan Sullivan" scandal. The New York Times reports that Peltola aides, DSCC staffers and the CAMPAIGN'S LAWYERS helped push a retired teacher named Daniel J. Sullivan to run against Sen. Dan Sullivan. Peltola's lawyers in Alaska? Elias Law Group, which is now fighting Trump's DOJ to make sure the result gets certified. Mark Halperin says Elias's firm was involved in the search. That's his claim, and the firm didn't respond to Reuters. Peltola's ex-campaign manager said Peltola was "definitely aware." Peltola and the DSCC deny it. Alaska, vote for the REAL Dan Sullivan. 🇺🇸

The Sociopathic Legacy of Barack Obama’s Deception, Destruction, and Perpetual Hypocrisy Barack Obama has returned to the public stage to lecture ordinary Americans about civic morality, ethics, and institutional trust, offering a masterclass in psychological detachment. This is the same political operator who looked straight into a national television camera and promised millions of working families that if they liked their healthcare plans, they could keep them. That single falsehood was so egregious that PolitiFact named it the official Lie of the Year, yet millions of policyholders subsequently watched their annual premiums skyrocket by 25 percent in a single year. Now he travels the country talking about finishing the job. Finish what, exactly? Our savings accounts? The utter destruction of private insurance markets? The systematic dismantlement of personal choice? His economic legacy reads like a masterclass in deceptive bookkeeping. He solemnly swore to cut the national deficit in half during his first term, yet year four still groaned under a deficit exceeding one trillion dollars. He inherited a national debt of roughly $10.6 trillion and nearly doubled it to $19.9 trillion, all while presiding over the slowest economic recovery in modern American history without delivering a single calendar year of three percent GDP growth. Yet he stands before audiences in industrial states pretending to care about the cost of living, as if his administration did not spend eight years burying the working class beneath crushing regulatory burdens and stagnant wages. When we turn to foreign affairs, the narrative shifts from mere economic incompetence to geopolitical catastrophe. He drew a grand moral red line in Syria regarding chemical weapons, watched 1,400 innocent people perish in a sarin gas atrocity, and then allowed Vladimir Putin to dictate the terms of compliance while American credibility burned to ash. He dismissed ISIS as a junior varsity team in January, and by June they were parading black flags over the captured streets of Mosul. He was caught on an open microphone whispering to Dmitry Medvedev that he would have more flexibility after his election, mocked Mitt Romney for identifying Russia as a primary geopolitical threat, and later confessed that his catastrophic intervention in Libya was his single worst mistake. And who could forget the pallets of unmarked foreign currency loaded onto cargo planes, $400 million in cold cash held hostage until American detainees were released, a transaction his own State Department admitted was used as direct leverage? Domestically, the administrative rot ran even deeper. The Internal Revenue Service weaponized its regulatory apparatus to audit, harass, and silence conservative nonprofit groups while the executive branch looked away. Operation Fast and Furious flooded Mexican cartels with two thousand firearms, weapons that eventually surfaced at the murder scene of Border Agent Brian Terry, after which the administration wrapped itself in executive privilege to hide the incriminating paper trail from Congress. His Department of Justice seized the phone records of Associated Press journalists and labeled a Fox News reporter a potential criminal co-conspirator. Meanwhile, the self-proclaimed most transparent administration in history systematically shattered previous records for censoring Freedom of Information Act requests. Then comes the most staggering hypocrisy of all. In 2018, he lectured the nation with sanctimonious moral clarity, proclaiming that politicians should not pick their voters. Fast forward to 2026, and he is starring in a $500,000 ad campaign in Maryland supporting a ballot measure designed to strip away the legal requirement that congressional districts remain compact, an explicit maneuver engineered to gerrymander out of existence the state's final remaining Republican seat. He has spent his entire post-presidency lamenting political polarization while actively funding and promoting the most cynical brand of partisan cartography imaginable. Listen to him rail against federal immigration enforcement, calling agencies like ICE dictatorial while safely insulated behind the gates of an $11.75 million estate on Martha's Vineyard. This is the exact man who oversaw more than three million formal removals during his time in office, earning the quiet praise of hardline border hawks before pivoting to performative open-borders rhetoric for modern progressive audiences. He jokes about opulent surroundings from a coastal mansion that costs more than a small municipal budget, completely detached from the inflation, crime, and cultural erosion that his policies inflicted on everyday towns across the heartland. Barack Obama once instructed his political base to get in the face of their opponents and punish their enemies. He spent eight years using the full weight of the federal apparatus to shield his ideological allies and target his critics. But history has a brutal way of balancing the ledger. The gilded rhetoric, the carefully rehearsed pauses, and the soaring moral lectures cannot erase a decade of compounding failure. The man who built a career on empty symbolism has nowhere left to hide from the cold, documented record of his own administration.

This is actually true— Duke Energy guaranteed a $10 million line of credit so the Democrats could hold their 2012 convention in Charlotte. The host committee never paid it back. Duke simply wrote it off. Shareholders (and ultimately ratepayers) ate roughly $6 million of the cost after taxes. Jim Rogers, Duke’s CEO at the time and a co-chair of the host committee, shrugged it off as a contribution “for the greater good.” Years later Lynn Good collected $20–21 million packages—mostly stock and incentives—while North Carolina families watched electricity prices climb and the company sought rate hikes. A regulated monopoly underwriting one party’s convention, absorbing the loss, then handing its top executives eight-figure pay. That’s the arrangement.
Replying to @RealMashburn4NC
In 2013, Duke Energy co-signed a $10 million loan for the democrats at Bank Of America. The DNC never paid the bill, so Duke Energy did. If you look up the last CEO of Duke Energy, Lynn Wood, she helped herself to around $22 million a year salary using bonuses to do so.

🚨 Brit Hume drops hard truth: “The Democratic Party has drifted farther to the left than I’ve ever seen. They are out where the buses don’t run.” “Conservatives tend to be proud to be Americans, no matter who is in office. But liberals in this country have gone sour on America. They’ve given up on America. They’re rooting against America.” A party infected with radical, anti-American ideology. Democrats can’t even say America is great when their own team is in charge. #BritHume #Democrats #AmericaFirst

A former FBI deputy assistant director sat in a federal courtroom in Washington today and cried. Nikki Floris ran counterintelligence. She went in front of Congress on July 19, 2023 and answered questions about whether the Bureau tried to suppress or discredit what was on the Hunter Biden laptop. On Friday the Justice Department charged her, and a second former counterintelligence official named Bradley Benavides, with lying when they did it. The government says the two of them talked that way to bury how deep the FBI's Foreign Influence Task Force was in the Hunter Biden investigations. An obstruction count went on the docket this week. The country was told that laptop was Russian disinformation before most people had ever seen a page of it. It was not Russian disinformation. It was his laptop. Nobody cried for the people who got lied to. 💎

You idiots shouldn’t even be breaking a sweat this election. You should be winning by a landslide considering that we are coming to the end of the second term of, arguably, the greatest governor in the history of Florida, Gov. DeSantis. You really screwed yourselves when you screwed Florida’s hard working families and small business owners by ignoring our demands for gubernatorial primary debates and then coronating Byron, the corrupt candidate who is being funded by wealthy corrupt special interest donors, against our objections. All of you idiots need to be fired and replaced with GOP leaders who will put the interests of Florida’s families and small business owners above those of your wealthy corrupt special interest donors. For future reference, here is what a real conservative governor looks like…..

The previous 3 FBI Directors… Chris Wray. Jim Comey. Bob Mueller. All deserved to be in prison. Decades of crimes. Decades of lies. Decades of cover ups. Decades of targeting innocents. Decades of destroying America. The damage they did to America is incalculable.

Today I issued an Executive Order designating “Seminole Wind” by John Anderson as the official anthem of Florida. I have also directed the @FLSecofState to erect historic markers in the City of Apopka depicting John Anderson’s contribution to Florida’s heritage. In addition, I have tasked @FLDEPNews to work with the @SJRWMD to designate wildlife drive and trail system within Lake Apopka North Shore as the John Anderson Wildlife Drive and Trail System.

Hmmm, he’d be a good President.
As Ron DeSantis enters the final weeks of his governorship of Florida, look at what he has accomplished. His record is nothing short of miraculous and may be the single most effective governorship in the history of the United States. Let’s remember…. He was the first to stand up to crazy COVID restrictions and reopen schools and businesses, he led the nation in school choice with more than half 1 million families now in the school of their choosing, he eliminated state debt and left the state with 18 billion in rainy day funds, and most importantly he signed the Heartbeat Protection Act, which ended most abortions after six weeks. Everyone I know who lives in Florida says it is the most well-run state in the country. Well done governor!🙏

In 2018 Comey went on ABC News to spread the lie that Trump may have peed on prostitutes in Moscow. Comey knew this was not true. He knew that the Steele Dossier was fiction and was paid for by the Clinton campaign. Comey is an evil man. Hopefully he gets what he deserves.
