For Nigerians who want to earn more, I'm building The Dollar Offer Blueprint, for landing dollar jobs and clients. I also run DIME (Digital Income Made Easy) for selling digital products, and an AI Marketing Bootcamp for product and growth marketers.

I use six steps at a tech event. I open with a real observation. I say who I am and what I am building in one sentence. I give one milestone. I say what I am looking for. I agree the next step before I walk away. I write it down on the spot with context. I read the room first. If the person is in the middle of a conversation, about to speak or eating, I wait.
Replying to @bachs_hq
@bachs_hq @the_boludada I migrated the checkout system for @wgirlieshq to Bachs, and we went live on 26 October. Checkout and webhooks worked on the first attempt.
Refunds are the problem.
We have two live naira card payments. Both succeeded and settled, and neither payment page has a refund button, even though our balance covers both.
When we tried sandbox refunds, they also failed.
I emailed [email protected] on 23 October and followed up today. I haven't had a reply yet.
This is important as it determines if we are able to refund buyers, and I'm also considering migrating payments at @marketinginact to bachs as well.
Is the refund system only buyer-triggered / based on disputes?
Can someone on the team take a look?
In every group of people, there are the good people, the bad people, and the neutral.
The neutral ones can easily be influenced by the most aggressive side, and the most aggressive side is usually the bad side.
Wispr Flow sent a paying customer a step by step guide to cancelling Wispr Flow 🤣
Best way to score an own goal!
Got an email from @WisprFlow with step-by-step instructions to disable voice typing in @meetgranola.
I didn't even know Granola had that feature.
I turned it on and cancelled my WisprFlow subscription.
November 2026 has thirteen tech and marketing events. @WebSummit is in Lisbon, Slush is in Helsinki and The MarTech Summit is in London. Ten are in Africa, including DevFest Lagos (@gdglagos), Growth Africa Summit (@growth29413) and Africa Fintech Summit (@africafintech). The full list is on the Marketing In Action (@marketinginact) Tech Events Calendar.
Developers won't believe "it just works" from a landing page. So I ran @PostHog's AI setup wizard on a small app I built.
It wrote three tracking events, one each for a button click, a plan choice and a finished signup, and I never opened the docs.
The full breakdown is in the reply.

If you want a hands-on test like this for your own product's onboarding, my DMs are open.
You post every day, run a few ads and sit in three communities. You still cannot say which one brought your last five customers. That is a missing system.
@amosferanmi is teaching one on Saturday 7 November, from 12:00 to 16:00 Lagos time. It is a practical four hour virtual workshop on finding your ideal customer, choosing channels, building a simple funnel, tracking the right metrics and running acquisition experiments.
Without a plan and clear numbers, you cannot tell which activity brings customers.
You can book here, and the code MIA20 takes 20% off at checkout: amos.selar.com/page/gaw?affi…
You can do whatever you like as long as it doesn't affect your job. And now you're a Paystack Mafia.
Yesterday at Moonshot, I had the best time sharing the stage with @shollsman during his keynote on how Paystack powers the ambition of not just its customers but the stacks that build the product. We also shared a never-before-seen pic of me pitching Selar to him with the audience 😄
I'll be forever grateful for my time at Paystack 💖
Both men and women are inclined to doubt a female’s age. You’ll see this in comment sections everywhere a young person (especially female) mentions their age.
Maybe Nigerians really have poor eyes to match a person to their age, or it stems from internal jealousy and bitterness that a 20 something year old has accomplished a whole lot more than they can ever aspire to in their lifetime.
I’m not lost to the fact that there’s some cultural nuance about “not asking / disclosing a woman’s age” and how Nigerians also normalize “football age” for men as well.
I’m also aware that there are a number of bad actors too who will go to interview with Egungun and claim they’re 22 even if they’re in their early thirties, but we know they do this for clout. Some also are not honest about their age because society expects women to get married by 24. We all know.
But let’s start telling ourselves the truth on this internet. Allow these young people actually be, and allow their journey motivate you to do better.
PostHog's onboarding is now an AI agent.
I wanted to know what that feels like from the developer's chair, so I built an app and let it loose.
If I was to do a product launch for this feature, I would start by recording the wizard, uncut, running on a real open-source project, one whose code is public.
I'd show the code it wrote in the docs and have the engineer who ran it post the recording. Then I'd count how many people who run the wizard get as far as seeing their first useful result.
That shows whether it works in real projects.
I write up the things I build after reading what a company is working on. The full breakdown is here: jamespraise.xyz/work/posthog…
If you want one built for your company or product, my DMs are open.
