I’m just finding this so weird. Athletes in every other sport get booed for comments like that, and forever. Why is figure skating a sport until crowds act like it’s one. Are they only allowed to hate in fandom ways

There was something so vulnerable and beautiful about delivering a performance like that in a room where most of the crowd wanted someone else to win. Maybe that made it all the more emotional for me, too. I would have given 9.5 and 10s in PCS.
