After (again) many controversies around Tobias Stieler in #ATARMA and his early red card decision, I feel as if I have some things to sort out here. Here’s the clip, analysis to follow in the thread: streamable.com/an40al (1/6)
Conclusion: the only outcome, AS REQUIRED BY THE LAW, is a Red Card. No matter if it’s early in the game or not, the referee has little room for interpretation in this situation (5/6).
1) I have not tweeted for quite a while, but given the most recent events in the Premier League, I felt that I had to say a couple of things about Mike Dean getting death threats. Thread incoming.
5) To those people who regularly wish violence and death to the referees: you don’t deserve to be addressed as "fans" of the game. You’re not in love with the game. You will not destroy that beautiful game with your hate and violence. Football doesn’t need you!
