If the world had genuinely decided that your people must be exterminated, would you still consider it wrong to destroy that world first? Let’s put it this way: Imagine a family whose father does everything in his power to stop your family from progressing. He prevents you from getting jobs and makes life difficult for you until your family becomes poor, with barely enough food to survive. Years later, you become powerful enough to stop his family from getting jobs and put them through the same suffering. Would you do it, knowing that his children are not responsible for what their father did to your family?
