These are only the wars he has seen that are an order of magnitude or more worse than the current Israel-Hamas War which wouldn't even make the top 100 (figures are median estimates).
So then why, of all the misery he has seen in his lifetime, does this seem "the worst" to him?
If he "had a dog in the fight" his obsession with this one conflict would make sense. But as he correctly notes, he doesn't.
So what is it about the one out of the hundreds of armed conflicts he has seen that makes the one with the Jews in it "the worst"?

It is a battle between terrorist orgs Hezbollah, Hamas, Islamic Jihad, the Iranian thugs who brutalise their own women for showing their hair, Houthis who have brought back slavery (etc) …
…and our strongest ally in the region - a democracy where minorities are free, where leaders can be peacefully removed in elections…
It’s a fight between a grim alliance of authoritarian death cultists who more than likely want you dead … and a plucky little nation brimming with positivity, dynamism and invention

A point that Israel’s critics don’t realise about Israelis:
We like living.
We don’t like dying.
Our enemy, radical Islamic Hamas, loves and celebrates death.
You see candy handed out after innocent civilians are slaughtered.
Their “martyrs” are promised dozens of virgins in their afterlife.
We have none of this.
We go to war, never with joy or frivolity;
only solemnly, understanding our noble duty to defend our lives and freedom.
Every Israeli mom that gives birth to a baby boy begins at that very moment to repress nightmares of that knock one day on her door, to be notified by officers of her boy falling in battle.
We have a citizens’ army. Everybody’s kids go and serve together, merit-based.
You have the boys of CEOs, teachers, merchants and policemen serving all in one platoon.
So it’s very personal for us.
We’re not sending “other people’s” boys to war.
It’s us. It’s me.
I served, fought and lost my closest friends.
My children will have to serve too.
So for all of Israel haters out there that are portraying us as a blood-thirsty nation just looking to kill Palestinians:
if you think your lies will stop us from defending our homeland—you’re dead wrong.

Gaza has received more Aid money than anywhere else on earth. It is larger than Dubai, which has just hosted COP28.
Can you imagine how prosperous and confident it would be if it was run by people who celebrated life instead of death.
