Some thoughts on the mess at Manchester United, including the crisis of leadership throughout. The only blameless people are the fans. #MUFC

Shea Lacey. The only positive from today's game. Done more than the entire team in just 2 minutes of coming on.

The lack of marking on Rayan has absolutely floored me.

"Sell United and f*k off home" sing MUFC fans, the only good thing about the club right now. And it's right. The Glazers have made their money many times over for 21 years. Fans never wanted it and that takeover should never have been allowed. Do the right thing: sell up and go.

MUFC’s under 17s went to Liverpool last night. Premier League Cup. Already qualified having won first two games. So a younger team went, 15s & 16s. 0-3 down at half time - not a surprise. Yet attitude and performance was spot on. Came out and scored three in second half. 3-3

Just back from The Den/Pub. An inexplicably disjointed performance from us today - by far the poorest since Alex Neil took over. Lincoln should have been out of sight by the time we managed to scramble two goals. Bit concerning... #Millwall

Zhukov' bunker looking out to Seelow. Quite the trip out after the bustle of Berlin but all doable by train and bus

It is always (or should be) easy to understand and excuse on-field refereeing errors. It’s such an incredibly difficult job. But listening to the audio, the VAR cock-up at Old Trafford on Sunday — turning an offside into a goal because, seemingly, they forgot to check whether Fernandez was interfering with play — was so sooooo bad. It’s a total failure of process rather than just interpretation. Two and a half minutes studying the goal forensically, only to allow an offside goal because you’ve lost track of what the rules say about interfering with play … staggeringly bad. nytimes.com/athletic/7595027…

England's only joint managers having Lincoln City in the Championship's top eight is the best story in the EFL so far this season. Some effort.
Following Lincoln City's journey has been a privilege. In the Championship comes something even more fascinating: the only joint-head coaches in English football. I spent a day with Chris Cohen, Tom Shaw and their staff to tell this brilliant story... inews.co.uk/sport/football/l…

🚨 Lisandro Martinez: “I think it was offside... I can't understand the rules!”. “Every season they explain for one hour the rules, they look so confident with that, and then after five, six people doing these kind of mistakes in the Premier League - it's unacceptable!”. “This is injustice”, told Sky.

Manchester United were shafted by an absolutely dreadful VAR decision, but their own performance was atrocious and shameful for a derby. No quality, no fight and constantly over hit basic passes and crosses. A bad start to the season gets even worse.
