I was left holding the wires like this for 15 straight mins, but it was worth it.

When singularity is here.

There you go.

I don't know why I used to keep my @ycombinator application videos private. It was stupid. So this time, I decided to talk about it in public. Here's my YC application video for the W27 batch. Hope y'all like what we're building!

I’m a techno-optimist. I definitely believe that technology can and should serve other people. And then where it doesn’t, it’s really not a technology problem, it’s probably a broken markets problem. Literally, why can’t I have good Siri? It’s because Apple won’t allow a market to exist there. And we spend a lot of time in DC and in Sacramento right now trying to fight for that. Like, we need people to be able to start new things, and then any of the seams that are broken are obvious. It’s like Siri is a perfect example. It’s like, the smartest AI has been around since November of last year, and Siri could be that smart, but is it that smart? It is not. And why? There’s no market. Like, nobody created open access, and so we’re using the most beautiful devices in the world, and they’re horribly crippled, and they’re broken in a way that it should not be broken. @garrytan
