YES! Here's the thing: We don't have network numbers...yet But we built this all from SCRATCH. Just a small group of people united around the idea that we could cover elections (and politics more broadly) smarter and faster than what's on TV This is the future. Period.
A few stray media winners and losers after last night (don’t take it personally): Winners Online streamers: Hasan Piker, Piers Morgan and Chris Cillizza/Chuck Todd had huge numbers. Still a long way from traditional TV but this will be a space to watch in the next few election cycles. NewsNation: They were the first national TV news outlet to call the House by a country mile, beating MS NOW by 45 minutes or so. Still have real challenges ahead given the larger linear TV business, but they deserve props. MS NOW: A year ago MS NOW didn’t even have its own entire news division, it was still building it out post-NBC News split. Now it will reap the rewards of an election night where its viewers were engaged and could highlight its own talent. Kornacki/Velshi/King/Nerds in general: It was a good night for the data nerds, who all had a chance to shine, many on their own dedicated streams. Losers ABC, NBC and CBS: For whatever reason, there was very little chatter about broadcast network coverage last night... what will the TV ratings show? Fox News: In the medium and long run, the channel will be fine, but past election cycles suggest that their ratings will be depleted for at least a few weeks, and possibly months. Media CEOs: Congressional Democrats are going to investigate all of the media and tech deals that have taken place over the past couple of years, and those CEOs will be in the spotlight, and may be forced to testify.

Oscar-winning filmmaker Alex Gibney, director of a 2026 documentary about Elon Musk, tells @chucktodd that @elonmusk has already threatened to sue him. @alexgibneyfilm: “So am I worried that people won't get to see this film? Yes. I'm hopeful. And we keep spreading the word about instances where it may seem that, the powers of censorship were coming down.” Watch the full conversation on the Noosphere app: noosphere.app/musk-filmmaker…

@AshleyJudd: Well, if we applied to the material and lived reality of women's existence, the 14th amendment, then maybe the First Amendment would do better. And there wouldn't have, you know, rich pornographers who torture women and call that protected speech. Watch her full conversation with @chucktodd on the Noosphere app noosphere.app/untitled-165/

I watched Alex Gibney's epic 4-hour documentary "Musk," which premiered at the Venice Film Festival. My takeaways: Ashley St. Clair offers tons of behind-the-scenes detail — including Signal chats with Elon. She also shares a stunning claim about Election Day 2024 … (1/7)

This isn't the hit job Musk claims. At times, it bends over backward to be fair. But it pierces Musk's mythos, playing some stories twice to expose contradictions and posing open questions: - What's with all the kids? - What is he doing with all that data? (6/7)

And about those four hours — the pacing is tight and the film doesn’t feel long. (But the 10-minute intermission at the two-hour mark certainly helps.) (7/7)
