If being a fan of someone makes you lose your kindness and treat other people badly, maybe it’s time to rethink what being a fan really means. You can love and support an artist without putting others down or making people feel small just to defend someone you admire. At the end of the day, I honestly feel bad for the artist you claim to love, because I don’t think they would want their name to be associated with that kind of behavior. Being a fan should never be an excuse to be unkind.
