Sholto saying continuous learning likely solved in 2026 was the most disorienting thing I’ve ever heard from an insider. If his statement wasn’t taken out of context this is the most consequential statement made from inside labs since Dario’s assertions re AGI timelines on Dwarkesh two years ago
Sholto Douglas (you'd better sit down for this one): "The most striking thing about next year is that the other forms of knowledge work are going to experience what software engineers are feeling right now, where they went from typing most of their lines of code at the beginning of the year to typing barely any of them at the end of the year. I think of this as the Claude Code experience, but for all forms of knowledge work. I also think that probably continual learning gets solved in a satisfying way, that we see the first test deployments of home robots, and the software engineering itself goes utterly wild next year."

Power Solutions (NASDAQ: $PSIX) received a Buy rating from Jefferies, which initiated coverage with a price target of $110.51. The stock currently trades at $54.08, suggesting significant upside potential. PSIX has delivered impressive returns, with a 76% gain over the past year and an 82% rise year-to-date. Jefferies cited the company’s strategic shift toward its higher-margin power system segment, which has grown to represent 68% of revenue in fiscal year 2024 compared to 27% in fiscal year 2021. The firm noted that Power Solutions has demonstrated strong growth in its power system segment over several years, reflecting a conscious strategic prioritization toward higher growth markets amid the prosperous artificial intelligence data center (AIDC) market in the U.S. Jefferies highlighted that the company’s gross profit margin has been growing steadily to 30% in fiscal year 2024 from 9% in fiscal year 2021, driven by its pivot to these higher-margin markets. The research firm expects fast-growing demand for diesel generators as back-up power for AIDC in the coming years, supported by the rapid expansion of the U.S. AIDC market. my favorite part of this project was showing that we have general ways of spending much more than the limit of ~$20 per problem to continue to improve scores. it’s incredible that we live in a world where you can trade compute for more intelligence
New verified ARC-AGI-Pub SoTA! @OpenAI o3 has scored a breakthrough 75.7% on the ARC-AGI Semi-Private Evaluation. And a high-compute o3 configuration (not eligible for ARC-AGI-Pub) scored 87.5% on the Semi-Private Eval. 1/4

This is the kind of success most venture funded founders would switch places with in a heartbeat and ibanker analyst turned corp dev manager turned VC associate types think is cool to mock, a good reminder to choose your investors wisely
By VC standards we should either "conquer the world or die in a fire" and neither of these are spiritually compelling for me. I never wanted a company I just wanted a home. At this point we have a large and loyal paid community, we build tons of features for them (I think we did >30 releases this year) and they're pretty happy. We have enough revenue to fund tons of crazy R&D and our models are still the best by the metrics we care about (how the images look and how fun it is to make things). We have a huge backlog of exciting things to make our models way better. Zero risk. We did all this with no investors. Honestly, it feels like we are successful. The next metric of success I think about most about is now that we have "all I ever wanted" in terms of a big well funded R&D lab with cool people free to work on whatever we want... Can we now build something that would make baby David proud? And can we tell bold stories about a human future that people want to be a part of? I think we can.
