all the unrest in France stirred my memory, I lived there as a child in the late 50s, early 60s time frame.
LBJ's Secretary of State, Dean Rusk, was in France in the 60's when DeGaulle decided to pull out of NATO. DeGaulle said he wanted all US military out of France as soon as possible. Rusk responded, "Does that include those who are buried here?"
DeGaulle mumbled, “No, of course not.”

Multiple sources confirmed that Daniel J. Sullivan Jr. left his hometown of Petersburg, Alaska, earlier this week. A former student reported seeing him on a flight to Anchorage on Monday two days before The New York Times exposed the alleged ballot-stacking scheme.
