IN SECRETS later today: It's an open secret among pollsters how easy it would be to fabricate a poll and then feed it to aggregators or numerically illiterate reporters to shift a race in one direction or another
For those of you wondering how to reconcile Reuters and WSJ "exclusives" on whether Musk or White House throttled Ukraine's access to Starshield, well @Barnes_Joe at the Telegraph had a credible explanation for the conflicting accounts five days ago.
EXCLUSIVE: Elon Musk came to Donald Trump with the plan to throttle Ukraine’s use of SpaceX’s Starshield satellite internet network, sources have told the Telegraph.
The tech billionaire made the proposal during the US President’s row with Volodymyr Zelensky over strikes on Russian oil refineries.
‘The reality is that they were both in it,’ a senior source said of Musk’s and Trump’s involvement.
But after a night of carnage in Kyiv caused by the slowdown, Musk was alarmed about the possibility of adverse consumer reaction in Europe.
The SpaceX boss then proceeded to tweet, blaming the US administration, and ultimately, President Trump for authorising the slowdown.
‘He tweeted out that he was innocent and that it was the US administration that did it,’ the source said.

How do you burn through 6+ hours in a single hearing, order DOJ attorneys to sign a document at the outset, then end the day by walking back that forceful order you gave earlier in the day? Be Judge Reyes.

SECRETS today: White House takes the fight to reporters as it tries to limit fallout from Katie Zacharia's week as press secretary:
Aides tried to discredit reporters who said Susie Wiles took her out, as they circled wagons around chief of staff.
They called out stories that Zacharia had no support as fake news.
And they briefed that Zacharia's own blunders were the problem.
But questions still swirl about how she was hired.
Most pressing of all: Will she do a tell-all interview?
