Full sunshine returrns to Acadiana tomorrow into Thursday before clouds return Friday ahead of scattered showers and a few thunderstorms that reach us Friday night into Saturday.
Euro mdel ends activity during the evening hours, but it's too early to pin down when the activity may end.
Latest Euro run also is not as wet as this morning's run, but there could be some much needed decent totals per the latest estimations below...but where those totals ultimately manifest will likely change. #lawx
Acadiana on track for a change in the pattern arriving Saturday with a good chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms. Euro is coming in more heavy handed with storms and rain totals...but at least 1/4-1/2" of rain is anticipated with isolated amounts potentially significantly much higher, but we need to establish a model trend before committing to higher amounts.
I would expect the WPC estimates shown here to increase on future issuances...we'll see.
Best rain chances look to be during the day Saturday but may be slow to taper into the evening hours of Halloween.
The next weather-maker arrives around Tuesday/Wednesday in the form of a frontal truogh and more storms...and there may be a low end severe component to that system...
The Euro however, has pushed back the timing for the rain chances Tuesday and may perhaps continue into Wednesday, but we'll have more clarity on the potential for Election Day storms as the week wears on. #lawx #halloween #ElectionDay

Acadiana staying in the same sweet but dry pattern through this week, but of course, rain chances look to increase for Halloween...ugh...it doesn't look like a washout, but models are trending for higher chances Saturday; now up to 50-60% and perhaps 30-40% into the evening...hoping not.
The next weather system that follows will be associated with a cold front around Election Day Tuesday...and there could be a window for some severe weather, but still too far out for any specifics, and the front could come in a day earlier or later, but the trend has been for Tuesday so far.
Rain totals Saturday tentatively look to be in the 1/4-1/2" range or less at best, at this time. #lawx

Acadiana remains in a dry pattern until of course Halloween... Saturday. Scattered showers and a few storms will be possible (mostly daytime hopefully) as an upper disturbance from the west sweeps through the area.
The disturbance will pick up tropical Pacific moisture, but most of that stays to our west. We could see anywhere from 1/4-1/2" for starters Saturday...not enough, and some won't get much at all, but we don't want the day (or at least trick or treat times) to be a washout.
A secondary system in the form of a more robust cold front could arrive for next Tuesday, with perhaps a better soaking and maybe a severe weather threat...but way to early to call that far out.
