🚨 $RKLB NOW HAS 8 SDA SATELLITES IN PRODUCTION AT ONCE - 8 of 18 satellites under its $515M Tranche 2 data-relay contract are being built at its California HQ - SDA's original launch target: no later than July 2027 - Solar panels, structures, star trackers, reaction wheels, radios, flight software, avionics and the launch dispenser are all built in-house Rocket Lab also has an $816M SDA contract for 18 missile-tracking satellites, expected to launch in 2029 That's 36 satellites across two contracts worth $1.3B I think this is what vertical integration at scale looks like
Members of @SemperCitiusSDA's Tranche 2 leadership team were recently at Rocket Lab's California headquarters to see T2TL-Beta in production. Eight of 18 spacecraft are on the floor right now, in build. Solar panels, structures, star trackers, reaction wheels, radios, flight software, avionics, launch dispenser — all built in-house. Proliferated architectures demand production at scale. Rocket Lab is all in on SDA's mission, and the action on our floor proves it. We're proud to be delivering this.

THE REAL REASON $RKLB NEUTRON SLIPPED TO 2027 - Earlier this year, a Neutron first-stage tank failed qualification. Rocket Lab traced it to a third-party manual layup process - Rocket Lab then moved to its planned automated fiber placement (AFP) process, which let it remove joints and thicken parts of the propellant domes - Inspections of a new forward dome found voids, tiny air pockets between carbon-fiber layers, in those thicker sections - Rocket Lab says it reproduced the issue and changed the process. An aft dome made the new way is its "highest quality carbon composite dome to date" Peter Beck: the voids "don't necessarily mean that the dome would fail in flight," but "possible success isn't our standard" I think this shows the high standards Rocket Lab holds itself to.

$IRDM TRADES 8.3% BELOW THE IMPLIED VALUE OF $RKLB'S OFFER Oct 26 closes: - RKLB: $53.82 - IRDM: $44.52 - Implied deal value: $48.53 per IRDM share ($27 cash + 0.4 RKLB shares) That's 9% upside if the deal closed with RKLB at $53.82, before time and deal risk Deal value per IRDM share by RKLB price: - $40 → $43 - $50 → $47 - $60 → $51 - $67.5 to $112.5 → $54 - $120 → $55.8 Why $RKLB holders should care: - At or below $67.5, Rocket Lab issues the most new stock: 0.4 RKLB shares per IRDM share - From $67.5 to $112.5, the higher RKLB trades, the fewer shares it issues - At or above $112.5, it issues the fewest: 0.24 RKLB shares per IRDM share The higher RKLB prices mean less dilution from the acquisition, but only up to $112.5 The price that counts is RKLB's 10-day average ending 2 trading days before closing, expected by mid-2027

$RKLB NEUTRON DELAY MIGHT NOT BE AS BAD AS PEOPLE THINK Look at how long other rockets took to launch: - Falcon 9: 2007 target, flew 2010 (+3 years) - Falcon Heavy: 2013 target, flew 2018 (+5 years) - New Glenn: 2020 target, flew 2025 (+5 years) - Vulcan: 2019 target, flew 2024 (+5 years) - Neutron: 2024 target, now expected 2027 (+3 years) Also, launch service made up just 19% of Rocket Lab's Q2 2026 revenue and the pending $IRDM acquisition will add ~2.7M subscribers to Rocket Lab's business

$RKLB THIS IS BEAUTIFUL! HERE'S WHAT HAPPENS NEXT - Thrust Module will be mounted onto LC-3 for fluid-system and launch-pad interface testing - Stage 2 will test integrated fluid systems and flight avionics before installing its Archimedes vacuum engine - Stage 1 will finish the replacement forward dome, then assemble and conduct hydrostatic and cryogenic testing Rocket Lab is aiming Neutron's first launch in 2027, exact date is TBD
It’s a beautiful day to set sail with the next pieces of Neutron flight hardware to Launch Complex 3. Earlier today we sent Neutron’s Stage 2 and Thrust Module out of the Neutron Factory and onto a barge for transport through Chesapeake Bay to Wallops Island in Virginia. Once it arrives, the Thrust Module will go straight onto the launch mount at LC-3 for check outs and the beginning of wider systems demonstrations including integrated fluids tests and module-to-launch-mount interface checkouts. With no strongback on the launch mount by design, Neutron’s Thrust Module is the rocket’s only physical interface to the launch pad, which this upcoming test campaign enables us to test early before the entire vehicle comes together.
