I cannot understand how people are underestimating Google in the OpenAI-Microsoft case. Google could perfectly create their own version as they already have AI talent and cloud infrastructure.
The challenge is different: what will be the incentive of posting content on Internet?

I really think $META's focus on the metaverse is not just a crazy bet but a defensive move.
Some thoughts:
- Google Analytics has been banned in some EU countries (more to come). High risk of similar outcome for FB pixel which tracks user data outside the platform.
