In spite mfer they did a sweep and all u can name is one idiot
Come on Benjy! You're one of the smartest guys on this site. Dems won *in spite* of Jeffries and Schumer, not because of them. If Schumer had his way, Haley Stevens would have faced off against the guy... she eventually endorsed! Janet Mills in Maine?? And economic populism?

Oh stfu idiot
Hinojosa and Talarico have been on a an epic speedrun of trying to squander all the goodwill and excitement from the left they generated since winning their elections. no amount of libbing out will make them Not Democrats i guess

She going to make it blue forever
Hinojosa on AI/Data Centers: We have always been a pro-business state in Texas. But what changes now with me as governor is it has to be a partnership that benefits Texans.  What has happened is data centers have moved into mostly rural communities, and there are no rules and laws to protect Texans and Texans are being taken advantage of.  So the difference is we will have laws to protect Texans, and we need to stop what we are doing with data centers until we have those protections, we can have a strong economy, strong industry and protections for the people of Texas. Those things are not mutually exclusive. And I'll make sure as governor, I lead to ensure that that happens. Tapper: So you're not ruling out that data centers will be able to be built in Texas. It's just you want there to be regulations to protect communities. Is that right? Hinojosa: And that communities have a seat in the at the table to decide if and how these data centers come into their communities. Texas is like a country. We are so diverse in all the ways different communities have different needs, and those communities have to be able to walk away from the table to leverage what they need for their community. So absolutely, we need to make sure they are partners in this effort. And that has always been my position. It is not that I hate data centers. I hate the way they are taking advantage of Texas, and that stops when I'm governor.

They trying to keep Texas blue. Respect for my new Governor & Senator.
NYT: Gina Hinojosa announces that former Texas State House Representative Ernest Bailes, a Republican, will be part of her transition team. Hinojosa: “We will have a bipartisan transition and we will have a bipartisan administration in government in Texas.”

Texas legit got the best Democrats
The governor-elect of Texas, Gina Hinojosa, has explicitly said that all currently permitted datacenters in Texas will be allowed to finish construction. This essentially covers all of the 2027 and likely well into 2028. She is going to pass laws that ensure that all *newly* permitted datacenters going forward for delivery in 2028/2029 will pay taxes, commit to no increase in power prices for consumers, don’t impact water availability for people, be constructed with union labor and give “Texans a seat at the table.” Sounds reasonable. She doesn’t want to lose a lot of good blue collar jobs and property taxes for small towns in rural Texas. Datacenter commentary starts at 6:30 in this interview. Also attaching her official campaign position from her website in the next post. Sidenote: After watching a bunch of her speeches and interviews, I do think she is a political talent and probably has a future in national politics. youtu.be/D-T6H3b8ZeE?is=mEWu…

The reason Ossoff won by 18 points is …. Mamdani I’ve heard it all
Replying to @maks_p
One big reason Democrats are winning is because of Mamdani’s clear vision with helping to reinvigorate the party. but this person can barely utter the words “Medicare for All” & uses very tame terms like “corporate accountability” plus his stance on the middle east is not it…

Man this guy is perfect for Texas
Senator-elect James Talarico (D-TX) says he wants to protect “good paying oil and gas jobs” in Texas, while also turning the state into a leader in renewable energy sources: “An all of the above energy strategy.”

That's the absolute floor but not the likely outcome. Dems aren't winning the house.
