You ask "who are the British?" This is who we are. ❤️❤️❤️🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
For generations, our red postboxes have carried letters to those serving far from home, connecting loved ones in times of war. Today, this one carries a poignant tribute to those who served, sacrificed and never came home. We will remember them. #postboxSaturday 📮💌

In June when Andy Burnham delivered his speech having won the Makerfield by-election, he promised to implement a "Makerfield Test" against all of his governments' policies. There is one thing for certain - this EU Reset policy would fail the Makerfield Test. So he's a liar.

- £41bn for the EU - £39bn for Chagos - £10bn for Ukraine And not a single vote for any of it. The supranational entities (UN, IMF, EU, WEF, WB etc.) have plenty of new "jobs for the boys" though. Are you seeing how it works now, kids? 🤔

Illegal migration Point 60 is more comedy gold. Apparently, we adopted the European Commission’s Channel Action Plan in June 2026, which is apparently providing ‘a structured EU-level framework for cooperation to tackle irregular migration and the criminal networks facilitating it, as well as to strengthen border management.’ The EU claims that its Action Plan is ‘coordinating action against migrant smuggling’. However, anyone who has watched footage of French Police standing on Calais beaches while enormous rubber dinghies are loaded with illegal migrants, which the French navy then escorts to the UK’s maritime border, may not have realised that this is a coordinated action against migrant smuggling. Point 60 also explains that the UK is ‘making a financial contribution’ to the EU’s ‘coordinated action’ to reflect our ‘shared responsibility for addressing these challenges’. Again, the Document doesn’t mention how large this financial contribution is, but we can see from the daily dinghy arrivals in the UK that the EU is either totally inept or it is actually coordinating the movement of illegal migrants into the UK, rather than trying to stop it. Or the EU is simply pocketing the money and letting the French Police do what they like. Also a possibility. For more information, read my Substack: catherinemcbride.substack.co…

Point 66 gets to the EU’s main aim in its protectionist policies: the EU wants the UK to help protect the EU’s steel industries with a quota system under the WTO GATT process. This ‘reciprocal’ arrangement has two massive holes. 1. The UK hardly makes any steel any more. It is down to just 2 blast furnaces, and they are only still operating because of massive government subsidies, while the EU has 47 blast furnaces and hundreds of Electric Arc Furnace steelworks which run on much cheaper industrial electricity than the UK’s. So agreeing to Point 66 would simply result in the final death of UK steelmaking. 2. The EU has defied the WTO CODEX rules and has ignored a myriad of complaints to the WTO after the EU lowered its pesticide Maximum Residue Levels, and its banning of certain food ingredients and packaging materials without any scientific evidence to back up its changes. The EU is happy to cherry-pick which WTO rules it wants to obey and which it wants to ignore, but now the EU wants to use the WTO to block Chinese EV and steel imports while the EU is simultaneously defying the WTO CODEX rules and blocking imports of fruit, vegetables, and cereals from other countries. I should point out that if the UK is silly enough to let the EU make its SPS rules, the UK will also be defying WTO CODEX rules. However, the UK would still have a steel industry and would not fear being undercut by Chinese steel if it had encouraged investment in new steel plant and equipment rather than making steel production uneconomic through short-sighted carbon taxes, bans on coking coal extraction, and high industrial electricity prices making EAFs uneconomic in the UK. Nationalised last year, the rail network c2c ( Essex and East London) is so bad even the 3 dimwitted Labour MPs ( they supported the state grab) whose constituencies the trains serve has summonsed the MD to demand answers. Here are the bloody awful stats; * Before Labour 94% of the trains arrived within 5mins of the scheduled time. Now it’s 71.5% * Before Labour c2c cancelled 1% of trains. Now it’s 1.7% with 4.7% in August. * In mid-August to mid - September the average delay to exiting passengers was 3.5 minutes, the longest since records began. The same is true of SWR and the Great Northern. The state are bloody awful at running things, not least because trade unions are involved.

It has become clear over the past week, that the terms of the EU Reset are more one-sided than we could have believed possible. Any MP agreeing to those terms has either not read them, is too blinded by the pro-EU Stockholm Syndrome to notice, or is working for a foreign power.

How the UK used its dominant position as a Coal Exporter to help win WW1. We put extreme pressure on countries like Norway, Sweden, Denmark to carry out our wishes. Interesting facet to the war that we never hear about 🇬🇧⬇️ Britain used its dominant position as the world’s leading coal producer and exporter—especially of high-quality bunker (steamship) coal—as a major instrument of commercial and diplomatic leverage during World War I.** This formed a core part of the broader Allied blockade and economic warfare system, often described as more flexible and effective than pure naval blockade alone. Before the war, Britain supplied a large share of Europe’s coal and over 80% of global bunker coal for the world’s merchant fleet (most of which was still coal-powered). It also controlled the main network of coaling stations and depots along major trade routes. From the early months of the war, Britain developed **“bunker control.”** This restricted or denied coal bunkers at British ports and British-controlled foreign depots to neutral ships whose owners had not accepted formal “Conditions of Supply.” These conditions typically required: - No carriage of goods of enemy origin or destination. - No chartering to enemy subjects or blacklisted firms. - Voluntary calls at British ports or inspection arrangements (later formalized with navicerts). - Often, a commitment covering an owner’s entire fleet. Ships or owners placed on blacklists (for trading with Germany or engaging in “un-neutral service”) could be immobilized without firing a shot. Contemporary accounts, including those by shipping controller J.A. Salter, described this as one of the most powerful coercive tools available, because neutral shipowners could not easily operate long-distance trade without reliable bunkering. ### The Coal Exports Committee and Licensing In April 1915, the **Coal Exports Committee** (under the Board of Trade) was set up to manage exports. Its priorities were: 1. Retain enough coal for British home consumption and war industries. 2. Guarantee supplies to Allies—especially France (whose northern coalfields were occupied, roughly doubling its need for British coal) and later Italy. 3. Allow surplus exports to neutrals only under license and at high prices, while applying pressure. Exports to neutrals (and soon also to Allies) required licenses. This enabled systematic **“coal pressure”**: supplies were granted only in exchange for compliance with Allied interests, such as limiting or stopping trade with Germany, providing return cargoes (pit props, ore, food, etc.), or allocating shipping to Allied service. ### Leverage on Neutrals Scandinavian countries (Norway, Sweden, Denmark) and the Netherlands were particularly vulnerable because they depended heavily on British coal for industry, railways, heating, and shipping, while also having access to Baltic trade routes that could supply Germany. - Britain rationed coal imports to these countries to prevent surplus production or re-exports reaching Germany. - Firms dealing with the enemy were blacklisted and denied coal. - A clear example is Norway, later nicknamed “The Neutral Ally.” On 24 December 1916, Britain issued an ultimatum: coal exports would cease unless Norway stopped trading with Germany (notably in fish and pyrites). Norway complied. Britain also organized much of Norway’s coal supply and transport in return for large amounts of Norwegian shipping for Allied use (including coal shipments to France). Hundreds of Norwegian ships were lost to U-boats, reinforcing the practical alignment. - Similar pressures were applied to Denmark, Sweden, and the Netherlands, often combined with certificates of origin, restrictions on specific goods, or requirements for return cargoes. Some agreements involved exchanges of coal for essential imports.

If you are a sane, rational person who can perform simple maths and cares about the economy of their country and the future of the people within it, then you should be livid with the government this morning. There is no part of the proposed EU reset terms, that you should be remotely happy about. The entire deal is giving the EU what it wants, and dressing it up as a benefit for the UK when it is anything but. - Promising to not deport EU criminals - Paying billions a year to build infrastructure in Eastern Europe - Subsidizing EU students to study in the UK, costing hundreds of millions a year - Putting UK laws in the control of the EU again, with no say at all from Parliament - Adding hundreds of millions of costs onto imports from non-EU countries - Making imported EV cars 30% more expensive, to help EU car manufacturers - Giving 80-100,000 extra youth visas a year, increasing competition and driving down wages for our unemployed youth - Stopping checks on imported agrifoods, increasing risk of diseases currently rampant in EU livestock entering the UK All of this with the reason of making exporting food to the EU easier, which we do virtually none of and never did, as we are an island that consumes more than it produces. It doesn't matter if you ultimately want to rejoin the EU or not. This isn't about that. This is about an atrocious deal and our atrocious government. Fight this with everything you've got.

I agree. The EU deserves to be told 2 things: 1. Our constitution allows us to reverse this ridiculous EU Reset (and free Northern Ireland). And, 2. We will. Let us have no crying on the continent, when Britain fixes herself.
Kemi and Farage both need to take to a stage and declare that they will remove the U.K. from any dynamic alignment agreements made under Labour. They need to do that now before this deal is signed.

🚨🇵🇱 MIDNIGHT CRACKDOWN WARNING IN WARSAW TV Republika, citing Radio WNET, reports that the protest camp outside Poland’s Constitutional Tribunal could be forcibly cleared at midnight by Tusks Police enforcers. This remains an unconfirmed warning—not an established police operation. But it demands an immediate answer from Tusk’s government. Has a clearance been ordered? By whom? Under what legal authority? Earlier today, police said they would not remove the demonstrators. If that position has changed, the public deserves to know why. Peaceful protest is a right. Any restriction must have a lawful basis; any use of force must be necessary and proportionate. The authorities must protect protesters and journalists—not treat political opposition as an enemy. Poland deserves answers before midnight.

🇵🇱 POLAND STANDS FIRM President Karol Nawrocki just delivered a clear message in the Sejm: “I will never agree to the European Union taking competencies from Poland.” His program is straightforward: • No to illegal migration • Keep the Polish złoty — no to the euro • No to raising the retirement age for women or men • Poland cooperates with the EU on treaty terms, not on Brussels’ open-ended demands He also called out repeated constitutional violations and said Poland must begin work on a new constitutional framework, potentially ready by 2030. This is not isolationism. It is the basic defense of national decision-making on borders, currency, social policy, and the Constitution. Member states, not EU institutions, remain the source of Republic of Poland legitimacy. ➡️ Share if you support sovereign countries setting their own red lines inside the EU. #Poland #Nawrocki #Sovereignty #EU #Złoty #NoIllegalMigration
🚨THIS IS BIG: 🇵🇱🇪🇺 POLISH PRESIDENT KAROL NAWROCKI WARNS BRUSSELS: “I WILL NEVER AGREE TO THE EU TAKING COMPETENCIES FROM POLAND!” — REJECTS EURO AND ILLEGAL MIGRATION! Speaking in the Polish Sejm, President Karol Nawrocki delivered a firm message on Poland’s sovereignty and its future within the European Union. “I WILL NEVER AGREE TO THE EUROPEAN UNION TAKING COMPETENCIES FROM POLAND!” Nawrocki declared that his political programme includes: 🇵🇱 NO to illegal migration. 🇵🇱 YES to the Polish złoty — NO to the euro. 🇵🇱 NO to raising the retirement age for women or men. He also accused Poland’s political establishment of repeatedly violating the constitution and called for work on an entirely new constitutional framework, potentially ready for adoption in 2030. “THE POLISH CONSTITUTION HAS BEEN VIOLATED SO REGULARLY THAT WE MUST BEGIN WORKING ON A NEW CONSTITUTION.” Nawrocki says Poland should cooperate with the EU while retaining powers not transferred to it under European treaties.

Zasesti nacionalno RTV s policijo in zamenjati vodstvo (Poljska); 6. Prekiniti mandate vodstvu nacionalne RTV in izvesti čistko zaposlenih (Slovenija); 7. Poslati v zapor člane prejšnje vlade brez možnosti obrambe (Madžarska); 8. Podeliti skoraj milijon državljanstev ilegalnim migrantom po hitrem postopku (Španija); 9. Zapreti novo Nuklearno elektrarno in zgraditi plinovod do Rusije (Nemčija); 10.
