Heard Spatial Audio on my AirPods for the first time. Thought they were broken for a minute.
Seems like an incredible technical feat! Likely took a lot of effort. But I turned it off. Looking around to hear the whole song is a bad experience.
In a recent conversation about mobile I brought up that bandwidth constraints and network latency are a thing for a lot of the world and that mobile should still opt for conservative bandwidth usage.
In an example I gave about poorer countries (based on data I pulled from Flurry a while back) is that inexpensive, dual-sim phones and commodity carriers are incredibly important in dealing with this.
But in rural America these aren’t options. Carriers are incredibly expensive and dual-sim phones don’t practically exist as a result.
I just tried to explain long exposure photography to a couple of my daughter’s 13 yo friends. I failed miserably. They have no frame of reference #gettingold
