AI is thigmotropic.
Like a vine, it doesn't grow toward truth. It grows around whatever it touches.
Point it at your SOPs and it wraps the story, not the work.
Before you plant (or renew) any system, ask it four questions 🧵
What prunes it?
Who notices when it drifts from the truth, and how often do they look?
No feedback loop, no forest. Just a monoculture of whatever grew fastest.
Does anyone have to lose for it to win?
If yes, it's a strangler fig, however good the dashboard looks.

Almost every SOP is fiction.
Not dishonest.
Incomplete.
Before step one, the person doing the job has already checked three things, made four judgment calls and ruled out two options that were never on the page.
Pretty wild the woman in this video is a realtime generated agent
The whole point of building Tavus has been simple: talking to a machine should feel as natural as talking to a friend or coworker.
It’s hard to describe all the tiny nuances that make a conversation feel human. The little expressions. Moving around in your chair. Knowing when to speak and when to listen. The dance of it all.
Griffin is by far the closest anyone has come to a model that can capture those nuances. The first time I saw it being used, I had no idea I was watching our model rather than just a normal video call.
I’m so incredibly proud of this team and what they’ve built.

The Burnout Myth
People think that “burning out” is the result of working too much.
Totally false.
Burning out is the result of working on something you aren’t excited about.
The harder you work on something you don’t care for, the harder you burn.
Conversely, when you work on something you are truly excited about you just get more energy from working hard.
When you experience this state of full on passion and energy you can work all hours of the day for months or years on end and achieve great results.
It’s incredibly astounding to experience and inspiring to witness.
When I hear people say they are burning out from working too hard, what I actually hear is they don’t care for what they are working on.
Always align with people who are excited about their work, they will always win.
Not only is China making increasingly competitive models, they’re also making world-positive AI marketing! 😂😂😂

At least in programming, Codex is the meticulous programmer who thinks(sometimes over the top) of edge cases and prepares for them. Claude on the other hand is the senior engineer who used to code and now discounts any objections from others as no big deal yet fixes all the flaws when called out

100% agree with this.
Never understood the failure fetish. Fail early and often? What? Fail often? Really? Fuck that.
Do, learn, do, learn. Move forward.
Chamath Palihapitiya @chamath "Bro, there is no failure."
"That is what other people think of you to keep you down. There's no failure. If you were left on an island and it happened, you would just brush it off and move on. It's everybody else that you think is judging you. But then, here's the secret. They don't give a fuck about you. They are living their own lives. So it's your perception of what they think of you."
"There is no failure. There's do and learn. Do and learn. Do and learn. Do and learn."

Chamath reveals his company's AI token costs are doubling every 45 days but productivity is only up 5%
"I sat down with my CTO today, I said how are we doing on token spend. And he said the most incredible thing, he said right now, our token costs are doubling every 45 days. I said well what is the downstream productivity? And he said maybe 5% max."
"So my costs are doubling every 45 days, my upside is essentially flat. He said honestly, what we're finding out is that you need to use a lot more tokens to get to this next iteration of improvement because we've effectively already asymptoted."
"We're going to take a step back and try to figure out what to do. I don't know how many other companies will actually go through this reckoning now, but the point is everybody in the next three or four years will for sure go through it."
"I suspect that if you can get out now, you should get out now before all of that starts to seep into the water table. Because I think that's probably what allows you to get out at a huge price and raise a huge amount of money."

183 skills is impressive and also the exact problem in the thread next door. A giant skill library turns into a liability the second they all load into context and start nudging the model. Curation is the feature now, not count.
