This was an absolutely surreal experience for me. If you had told me a year ago there would be 100+ folks in a room to hear anything I’d have to say I’d have called you crazy. Like WUT. 😱🥹
I’ve given this talk before, working to improve it after each presentation. This version has been my favorite, and I am incredibly grateful to everyone that took the time to stop by, especially if they heard previous versions. 🥰
Thank you so much to @DThompsonDev and the @CommitYourCode volunteers for their help. ❤️🫶 Your hard work is seen and appreciated. #cyc26
PS Thank y’all for the photos! Def stolen from friends. 🥰🥰🥰
Tomorrow! Except it’s 1pmEST. 😅
You’ve reread your resume 47 times and it still looks fine to you. That’s exactly why you need a fresh set of eyes. Career Audit Sessions with Brian Rinaldi (@remotesynthesis.com) is tomorrow, live with @RoxanaCodes: luma.com/torcdo-8e4v #Techevents
I have my circle of friends in the Houston area, but the tech community has brought so many more wonderful people into my life from all around the world.
I highly recommend finding some folks that make you laugh this much. 🤣🤣🤣
heart your face @happpytrees!!
thanks to our friends at @codetv_dev for the images!
woohoo! i got my first ten episodes up. only ~10 more to go. i love this so much! doing the intro voice overs reminds me that it would be so much fun to narrate a book one day.

I'll bite. 😅
I review resumes, linkedin profiles, and portfolios every other week as part of my job. I recently realized that I need to set a better example in some areas...so I used the lovely and free ChatGPT credits I recently obtained to do just that.
I plan to update the verbiage eventually...
Feel free to offer constructive criticism. Want to give me some harsh truths? DM me. lol

@TasonJorres don't you dare leave your two cents here. i've heard enough out of you 🤣
Good morning! I have a very long list and am hoping I don’t get a call from the school so I can get through it all. 😅
What are you up to this Tuesday?
Ugh it finally got me. Should’ve made it a zombie hand bc of the jump scare and hello, it’s October.
I loved getting to know more about @savsql today! Thank you so much for hanging out with us! If you love databases and/or cute puppies you should definitely give her a follow. :)
Shout out to the chat for being so active! <3
another actual convo:
"I lived in Houston so I'm pretty hood, too."
"did you just call roxy hood?"
"rosenberg is DEF not hood." 🤣🤣🤣
we love our new friend hahahha
Actual conversation I had with @SilverJaw82 recently:
“So, where are you from?”
“Nebraska”
“Oh, that’s random… why?!”
Anyway, the CPF for Nebraska.Code 2027 is open through 12/23!

She Ships Episode 20 with Savannah Longoria xitter.cf/i/broadcasts/1AJEmvgdg…
😆 Calling me the chosen one without the #100devs context is wild hahaha
But ya, it’s rough out here! Grateful for my Torc fam.
"Why doesn't the chosen one have a job yet?"
@RoxanaCodes was very transparent about the struggles of breaking into tech.
To be honest, I thought Roxy was already in tech before she finally got her official role as Developer Community Manager at @torcdotdev

What makes a developer go from “what is this?” to “i can’t live without it”? @savsql
has spent her career figuring that out at PlanetScale, Neon, SingleStore, and now Databricks. She’s on @SheShipsPodcast with @RoxanaCodes

Ugh. Trying to purge all the birthday sugar from my system. 🫠🫠🫠
(Not my bday, my fam’s)
Good morning! Trying to get back on my bologna sandwiches because September and October basically consisted of the literal consumption of my feelings in the form of chocolate. 😅 Anyone else?? 😆

Y’all idk what is happening with that Halloween post. 🤣 Here’s my only decoration. 💀
Post-sleepover I took the kids to the new house to play in the cul-de-sac while I unpacked a few things & revamped my portfolio. Hoping to do freaking nothing for the rest of the afternoon. 😅
