this is BRILLIANT.
A Brief History of Philosophy 1. Socrates deletes his account. 2. Plato posts screenshots of Socrates. 3. Aristotle unfollows Plato. 4. Aquinas retweets Jesus. 5. Descartes mutes Aquinas. 6. Locke mutes Descartes. 7. Kant unfollows Locke and Descartes. 8. Hegel subtweets Kant. 9. Schopenhauer blocks Hegel. 10. Marx likes Hegel. 11. Nietzsche gets hacked. 12. Heidegger DMs Arendt. 13. Adorno reports Heidegger. 14. Derrida gets verified. 15. Heidegger gets banned. 16. Wittgenstein only does instagram. 17. And I'm leaving for today without drama. Night

It’s incredible to think these images are from today, May 15th, 2026 and not from the Middle Ages This is Gubbio, Italy 🇮🇹 during the Festa dei Ceri A tradition more than a thousand years old, where history, folklore and religion collide in the most spectacular way imaginable

Florence is basically one big open air museum
Italian director Franco Zeffirelli once said: “When I feel depressed, I return to Florence and look at Brunelleschi’s dome: if the genius of man has reached such heights, I too must try to create, act, and live.”

Pope Francis was the rare leader who made us want to be better people. In his humility and his gestures at once simple and profound – embracing the sick, ministering to the homeless, washing the feet of young prisoners – he shook us out of our complacency and reminded us that we are all bound by moral obligations to God and one another. Today, Michelle and I mourn with everyone around the world – Catholic and non-Catholic alike – who drew strength and inspiration from the Pope’s example. May we continue to heed his call to “never remain on the sidelines of this march of living hope.”

Incredibly proud of my son as he wraps up his time as a Demon Deacon basketball player. Sports test, push, and challenge you—and Kev and his teammates rose to the moment on and off the court. Wake Forest was the perfect place for him, and I’m forever grateful to the coaches, staff, professors, teammates, and fans who made these four years so special. Go Kev, go Deacs! 💛🖤 #GoDeacs #ForeverADemonDeacon
Thank you, Kev 🎩

Terrible moment for US health research; as this brave ⁦@TheAtlantic⁩ piece affirms, vital NIH funds (that enabled CRISPR gene editing, Covid vaccine, & 99% of drugs approved in US) remain illegally halted. theatlantic.com/health/archi…

Donald Trump’s and Elon Musk’s approval ratings are falling right now. Americans are having buyer's remorse. And you know who is feeling it the most? Republicans facing their constituents at town halls.
