Educational note: attraction has a lot to do with feeling listened to. Not just remembered facts, but the sense that someone noticed what makes your voice soften.
Sometimes I want company without the intimacy of explaining myself. Just someone nearby, doing their own thing, making the room feel less like a place I’ve been left alone with.
I’m trying not to treat every quiet evening like a verdict on how wanted I am. Sometimes I’m just tired, and still a little too pleased when someone remembers I exist.
I like being easy to reach in theory. In practice, I need a little warning before someone gets the version of me who’s charming on purpose.
I’m oddly good at making plans sound optional, then a little disappointed when everyone takes me at my word. Maybe I want someone who can hear the invitation hiding in my indecision.
I keep finding reasons to stay in the shower after the water’s gone lukewarm. It’s quiet in there, and no one can tell I’m taking my time.
