We had a wonderful time at this year’s @rubyconf_au - many thanks to the organising team ❤️ - and we’re looking for expressions of interest from anyone keen to be a part of the team for next year’s edition. If that’s you, please do get in touch! ruby.org.au/events/rubyconf_…

Replying to @xshay
@xshay on solving the problems we run into one they've exhausted the benifits of our typical improvement tools. Feedback loops can only take you so far. We need more sophisticated methods for dealing with blind spots, wicked environments and the curse of expertise @rubyconf_au – at Melbourne, Victoria

My “Escape Your Framework” talk done and done for @rubyconf_au . Had lots of fun putting it together and delivering it. Video should be online today/tomorrow. Time to relax and enjoy the rest of #rubyconf_au now (shoutout to @keystonelemur for the pic)

As a serious lover of redundant technological artifacts I am seriously loving this talk by @yujiyokoo and his history of the Sega Dreamcast & his mRuby environment for game development 😻 #rubyconf_au

Very important talk on inclusivity and diversity by @adelsmee, which covers not just usual gender/ethnicity but also health and bodies, and how support from the workplace makes a big difference.

RubyConf AU was the first place I ever sent an CFP to, and has been on my Speaker Goals list for ~6 years now. I’m enormously grateful for the opportunity. Thank you, #rubyconf_au, for the invitation and the warm welcome. 💖

Learned about Skunk, a tool to evaluate Ruby codebases, from @etagwerker's talk at @rubyconf_au. Will be investigating this with my projects!

As both a speaker and audience member, I really appreciate @rubyconf_au’s longer 30-40 minute talk slots. Gives talks some room to breathe, and allows speakers to introduce topics *and build on them*, instead of feeling stuck at 101-level topics with a 20-minute slot.
