RunEqual

It's almost XC Season!! 🙌💪 Have you got your ribbons, facepaint and back numbers at the ready? 💜💚

It’s #InternationalWomensDay - show us your 💜&💚- face paint/ back number/ ribbons! + include #RunEqual

It's been fantastic to see the #LoveCrossCountry memories coming up! Please do keep sharing with the hashtag. We are missing XC - even the mud, bogs, hills, sweat, snot, pain! - We love XC! #RunEqual 💜💚💪

"We need leadership from the top, and thats what we are getting." Nice one @BritAthletics @JoannaCoates @DonnaLegz. Thanks also @fi_tomas_ @WomensSport telegraph.co.uk/athletics/20…

In the absence of regular XC leagues this season, other providers have organised some events. We 💚💜 @eventsatw

More to celebrate thanks to @EnglandAthletic South West region. Equal distances at these regional champs for the first time. #runequal 💚💜🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ Your turn next @SEAACompetition @NorthernAthlet1 ...? 😀

Brilliant work Devon XC champs. 👏👏👏 Equal distances for the first time, plus all the rest to be able to run an event right now. #runequal 💜💚 🏃🏻‍♀️🏃🏻‍♂️

Will 2021 be the year that women finally have the same opportunities as men when it comes to XC....? We are hopeful yet won't stop working until we finish that first race, full of mud, pride and gratitude. 💪💜💚

It’s great that @LdnYouthGames are staging a virtual XC comp, but why must Y9-12 boys run 50% further than the girls? This sends the wrong message to young athletes - sport should sweep away tired gender stereotypes, not reinforce them. #virtualracesrealsexism

The distances set for @SchoolAthletics XC champs. Senior girls (17-18) run the same as junior boys (13-14). What message does this give to teenage athletes? Sport should break down gender stereotypes not reinforce them. @JoannaCoates @WomensSport @Womensrunninguk @BritAthletics
