IT: WELCOME TO DERRY (2025) takes its time building up Pennywise before finally revealing him. The anticipation makes the payoff even better.

Our first look at “ Maturin “ the benevolent, ancient cosmic deity in Stephen King’s shared multiverse. His first official appearance in the surprise Halloween special episode (A Story of Derry) of IT: Welcome to Derry. #ITWelcomeToDerry #Halloween

🚨 For anyone who doesn't know who Maturin the Turtle is: In Stephen King's multiverse, Maturin is an ancient cosmic being and the opposite of Pennywise. While Pennywise represents fear, chaos and destruction, Maturin represents creation, wisdom and benevolence. Both originate from the Macroverse, a realm beyond our universe. Maturin is also one of the 12 Guardians of the Beams that support the Dark Tower and all of reality. In the original novel IT, he even guides Bill Denbrough during the battle against Pennywise. #WelcomeToDerry #IT
