This morning I created this list of Utah legislators (and official #utleg) X accounts, whether actively posting here or not. As a returning Utah resident, I want to stay more connected to state politics. If I missed any, let me know in replies ⬇️ xitter.cf/i/lists/19374960750589…

I started a group coaching program in August as a fun thing and our cohorts are killing it. Focus is body recomposition. New 13 week cycle starts each first Monday of the month (link in bio)

Refreshing to hear this from Yaxel. Too bad he'll probably lose this candor. The modern NBA is kind of hard to watch, tbh. My gripes: 1. Whining at refs 2. Ghost fouls for stars 3. Chucking up three-pointers early in clock 4. Lax on traveling, palming 5. Uncalled moving screens
Yaxel Lendeborg says he lost all respect for Luka Doncic from his whining: “I had a lot of respect for him, you know, just watching. I didn’t really watch the NBA much, I just watch highlights seeing him kill people all the time. But then being in there first hand, just watching all the whining and complaining, I lost all respect man. Like, that was awful. Like me getting frustrated, it’s not about the foul being called. It’s about him complaining the entire game. And then you get the foul called, congratulations bro. And then you talk to me like you did something great bro. Come on. That’s just weak you know. It kinda threw me off for a little while cause like I said, I had a lot of respect for him. Gone, man.”

underrated part of making a daily gym habit is getting to know the regulars - unbelievably cool people and lots of fist bumps 👊

in the gilded age they would send corrupt politicians to humiliating assignments like lighthouse supervision or mail sorting at a post office

The teacher who gives a failing grade has to explain it to the student, the parents, and the principal. The teacher who gives everyone an A has a quiet weekend. Still confused about how grade inflation has gotten so bad?

I heard a fascinating story about human behaviour today. A tour guide at a historic castle was getting very high ratings from tourists. They went to see what he was doing differently. On several of the rooms he had used the red velvet ropes to block the doors. These were normally used when the rooms were being repaired or cleaned. He had put them up at the beginning of each day. During g the tour he would look around and say to the group “would you like to have a quick look in here?” And they would say yes in hushed tones. He would ceremoniously unclip the rope and let them through into the room. A room that was always a normal part of every tour. This simple little bit of theatre made people love the tour that much more. Humans love what we can’t have.

I have never liked the cat in the hat, even as a little kid. it stressed me out to think of a malevolent actor ruining my home and then avoiding parental consequences with a hail mary cleanup ploy. nightmare fuel for me
