Hot take: Every platform needs to offer everything.
The next round of winning aggregators will be AI agents. More vertical integration = more value for users.
• Grok Bots integrated X data for free.
• Grok is the best at using X data.
• Muse is best situated to use Facebook/Instagram data.
This trend will continue…
This is like paying for VS Code at this point.
You don’t need to pay
for a front end or an IDE.
I just paid $400 once for Final Cut Pro and used it for a DECADE
but Apple has been slooooowly dripping more and more features behind the subscription version in Apple "Creator Studio"
... and I think they're finally about to get me to pay ($129/yr) with this latest update. MotionVFX built-in

some exciting tech news this morning — anduril is building the first american-made computer in 20 years
Today, @anduriltech and @qualcomm announced a new laptop that will eventually be 100% made in America, a “first step” toward creating a market for U.S.-manufactured components and total technological self-sufficiency.
Building computers in America should be a matter of “national pride,” says @PalmerLuckey.

democrats: if we take power we will seize elon musk's companies and put him in prison and no, we do not care if he technically committed any crime or not
also democrats, somehow: why is elon musk funding republicans?
Doom scrolling but games.
Totally agree.
Netflix introduced creator content.
Disney is hosting short form.
IG is now doing long form.
Every single platform will support creator long form x short form.
They are all competing for net attention. YouTube is winning this big time currently on a long time horizon.
Games will be next at some point. Vibe coding is going to do to gaming what short form did to video. It sounds insane, but I think we will be encountering games on our scroll soon.

Utterly bizarre the Dems are openly arguing Starlink -should- be used for war.
After Elon Musk posted on X saying he had throttled Ukraine’s use of Starlink after it was used for offensive attacks, House Armed Services Committee member Rep. Jason Crow (D-CO) says the billionaire’s ability to wield that power is “beyond disturbing to me.”
“It cannot and should not be the case that a tech oligarch, a private citizen, who has that much control over our national security, who is unaccountable, who is unelected, with zero transparency, is making life and death decisions on the battlefield in systems that our service members and our partners and allies rely upon,” he adds.
I’ve been using the phrase “ChatGPT is my PC” since 2023 on various platforms.
Today the GOATs at @sharptechpod said it.
It’s not just the OS, it’s also the compute. It’s literally a personal computer.
“While the act of creation is inherently satisfying, there’s a danger: one might find satisfaction in the labor itself and mistakenly believe that a high-quality piece of work has been created,” he said.
very insightful comment from miyamoto
Nintendo’s Shigeru Miyamoto, the acclaimed designer behind Super Mario and Zelda, has explained why he believes generative AI won’t make human creativity obsolete.
"There will always be a role left for us to play."

This, for everything.
Anyone can make anything.
Shigeru Miyamoto, creator of Super Mario and The Legend of Zelda, on generative AI and the evolution of videogame creation:
'As you mentioned earlier, this is an era where even people who aren't game designers can make games. If we broaden the definition of a 'game,' I think the era has already arrived where everyone can make games. I had always thought it would be ideal for those boundaries to disappear, so I think this has become a very good era.'

AI is not theft, and it's not bad for the environment.
AI is a tool, just like the computer before it, or the calculator before that, or even the wheel.
It's not going away, no matter how many tears are shed.
Use the tool.

Tom Tykwer, the director of Run Lola Run, is making Volcano High with playwright Bonn Park, who directs it. They shoot live action, then use Seedance 2.5 on top of the footage.
In one scene three actors lean into the camera and sing. Seedance turned them into a crowd of 20. Tykwer says it just works, and they'll use it more often.
Bonn Park wanted one continuous take where the camera spins around a gym. The model had to remember what was on each side of the room when the camera came back. A test shoot proved it could.
Their producer's favorite moment: a water bottle prop came back as a microscope.
AI isn't replacing the crew here. A director with real taste chose to put it into how a film gets made.
🤝 Paid partnership
Amazing endorsement of X. This really is where you'll find the most optimistic, forward-looking people in tech.
The poll so far between Twitter, Bluesky and Mastodon. I think it looks less absurd than last time, but still pretty clear that the base is divided. xitter.cf/mitsuhiko/status/21143…
