Best idea.

Anyone else wondering how the government acquired the entire earth and now we have to pay them to live on it?

I think we need to talk about the absolute joy of coming home from somewhere, taking your bra off, getting into your pyjamas and knowing you don’t have to go out again. There are few greater feelings.

Swedish death cleaning is tidying your things so nobody else has to. I'd like to start with the drawer of cables nobody can identify. Every house has one.

Hmmmm most people don't plan their deaths.
But the Swedish do have something called "death cleaning"...
"You can start Swedish death cleaning (döstädning) at any age, though author Margareta Magnusson suggests beginning ideally around age 60 or whenever you realize your closets are too full. It is a slow, gentle, and ongoing process meant to clear out unnecessary items so your family does not have to manage them later. "
Susan Saint James, the Emmy-winning actress who starred opposite Rock Hudson in “McMillan & Wife” and Jane Curtin in the CBS sitcom “Kate & Allie,” died Monday at 80 years old after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.
Saint James’ family described her as someone “generous with her time and energy, which she valued more than money, and instinctively drawn to whoever needed lifting up. She taught her children to pause, be kind and look out for other people. She never met a stranger. Every person she met became the most important person in the room at that moment, from a fellow board member to the clerk at the shoe store, who usually walked away knowing her entire life story.” (via People)

You all should have been doing it all along. Weather can happen, wars, riots, anything anywhere. You should always be prepared, not scared.

Governments in the UK, EU countries, Germany, Sweden and others urge basic household supplies for 3-10 days. Official reasons cite more frequent extreme weather, cyber attacks that can disrupt power or payments, and hybrid threats from hostile actors. The aim is broader national resilience so people can self-manage short outages and free emergency services for the vulnerable. Not based on any specific imminent threat.
