This Kale man went to register for his daughter's birth Certificate back in early 2000s on asked about the girls names he didn't know both names, he only knew Chepng'etich, he tried to remember and the only name that came to his mind is Janet a tea plucker in the village. That's how her daughter was named Janet instead of Daisy a name she was given at birth. This is a series of other stories of Kale men who don't know their children's names.

Jay-Z says he gave Kanye $20 million without blinking. Kanye says it was just a tour deal, then left Jay’s company claiming it owed him $3 million. Jay called him his little brother. Kanye said their kids had never even played together. In the video below, Kanye says the way Jay gave it made him feel he owed “more than just the money itself.” Then Jay-Z answers. Jay met Kanye when Kanye was a producer with no album. Jay put his beats on The Blueprint. Ten years later they made Watch the Throne together. In 2016 Kanye gave The Life of Pablo to Tidal, Jay’s streaming app, as an exclusive. The app hit #1 in the App Store. Reports said the album brought Tidal 1.5 million new subscribers. That fall Kanye started calling Jay out at his own concerts. In Seattle it was the kids. In Sacramento he went after Beyoncé and walked off after about 30 minutes. Months later he left Tidal over the $3 million. Jay answered on 4:44. He rapped that he gave Ye 20 million without blinking. Kanye says the money was a tour deal through Roc Nation. What bothered him was that Jay made it sound personal. Jay’s side: “What really hurt me was, you can’t bring my kids and my wife into it.” The case for Kanye: a tour deal is business, not a gift. And in his words, “If we’re brothers, then that is my family.” The case for Jay: Kanye was in debt, and Kanye himself says Jay had to cosign the deal. The next spring, Letterman asked Jay if they were still friends. “That’s my brother. We’re beyond friends.” So did Kanye owe Jay-Z for the $20 million, or did Jay-Z owe Kanye an apology?

Back in May 2017, I got called to take portraits of the Kenyan President and his Deputy. When I realised the assignment was too huge for me, I called on @allangichigi and made it a collaborative project. This is the story of your gift taking you before important people (Proverbs 18 : 16), the power of collaboration and how having a camera has opened doors I never thought I'd walk through.

Jill Dodd was 21 when billionaire arms dealer Adnan Khashoggi wrote “I love you” on her arm in his own blood. Weeks later, she says, he offered to pay for everything under a five-year contract to become one of his “pleasure wives.” “You will be at my beck and call 24 hours a day.” Dodd was an American model working in Paris when she met him at a party on the French Riviera. She remembers being shocked by the blood on her arm. She also thought the gesture was funny and strangely cute. The next day, he invited her aboard his yacht. It had its own hospital, cinema and disco. Other models were there too. In the video below, she explains what happened after she accepted his offer. Khashoggi already had a wife. Dodd lived among several other women, each with separate accommodation. He would visit her cottage, or she would spend time alone with him in his rooms. At first, she says, she barely thought about what sharing him would mean. Asked how naive she had been, her answer is immediate: “Extremely.” The interviewer asks whether she loved Khashoggi himself or the money, power and extravagance around him. “I believe I was in love with him.” She describes days spent behind closed doors together, taking cocaine and having meals brought in by a chef. They slept when they wanted. Sometimes they stayed awake for days. He also offered to pay her tuition at a design college. Years later, she would help create Roxy. But one detail stayed with her: his book of women. She remembers a notebook filled with headshots and body shots, which she thought might have come from a modeling agency. “It was like he was shopping for girls.” After two years, she no longer wanted to share him. She had fallen in love with someone else, and her view of the arrangement was changing. “I was starting to see through the facade.” She left before the five years were up. Decades later, she still describes their relationship with affection. She says she loved him, believes he loved her, and has no regrets.
