We had a spooktacular time at the beloved Del Ray Halloween Parade! Our Alexandria Citadel Corps band brought the music, and our team even hosted a costume repair station to help parade-goers keep their Halloween looks in tip-top shape! 🧵🎶

Across the National Capital Area Command, we help provide warm meals, food pantry assistance, senior markets, and so much more, meeting people where they are and helping put food on their table. 📸: The Solomon G. Brown Corps giving out free apples in the heart of Anacostia🍎

We asked our NCAC team members to share some of their favorite notes, quotes, and drawings they’ve received from the kids and families we serve, and we couldn’t keep these little treasures to ourselves! Swipe through to see a few of our recent favorites.

Recently, one of our longtime team members was at an NFL game in New Orleans when a woman recognized her. She introduced her family and shared that she had been a Camp Rappahannock camper years ago. She told her that the experiences she had at camp changed the course of her life.

❤️ Sometimes, it’s the little signs that remind us why we serve. At our Prince William Service Center’s monthly food distribution, volunteers and staff knew it would be a special day from the very start, when the first potato unpacked was shaped like a heart.
