It pains me that we struggle so much with being united under one banner, the banner of Imam al Mahdi (ATFS) We already have so many issues with Sunnis, why do we have to divide ourselves even when we are all Ja'fari Shia? Let us put aside our differences and be united❤️

This is not to say we ignore the differences entirely, we need to change how we treat each other because of them. We should have respectful discussions with the goal of increasing both sides' knowledge, without expressing hostility

This was my father's friend from the Hawza in Qom, Ayatollah Hussein Al-Ma'touq. My dad remembers him as a joy to be around, sincere, polite, easygoing, and a profoundly devout man of faith. He was recently sentenced to death by the Kuwaiti government, reportedly for his objections to the presence of foreign troops in the country. Seeing my father this heartbroken, frustrated, and deeply angered by the sectarian hatred that continues to target us is heavy. Please keep him and all oppressed scholars in your prayers. 🤲🏼💔
