This scene always makes me think of "Secrets" by OneRepublic, because Merlin is so tired—weighed down by the burden of everything he has to keep hidden. "I'm sick of all the insincere So I'm gonna give all my secrets away"... #merlinbbc

Annis is smart, she remembers that Merlin is a "fool"—but, obviously, she realized that he is "Arthur's fool." Indeed, Merlin does not deny it, and neither does Arthur; with nothing more than a dazzling smile from the King, Merlin becomes a "fool" as well #merlinbbc

This scene is crazy because you can clearly see the no return point: when Arthur’s voice pulls him out of the vision, a thousand emotions cross Merlin’s face, and you know that nothing will ever be the same again Colin's acting is exceptional #merlinbbc

Honestly, these lines by Arthur in Season 5 make no sense. By now, we all know that for Arthur there is no difference between Merlin and the Knights, and that he certainly notices when Merlin disappears. Why have him say such stupi things again? #merlinbbc
