Extraordinary courage from Ahmed El Ahmad, a Muslim, 43-year-old father of two, who bravely risked his life to save his neighbors celebrating Hanukkah.
Praying for his full & speedy recovery.
And so deeply inspired by his example.

Survivors of a genocide, elderly and small children, men and women, injured and exhausted and bereaved, having to walk the long way back to their bombed homes and obliterated neighborhoods, resisting yet again ethnic cleansing and forcible displacement. In one image, the magnitude of the Palestinian tragedy and the epic will of its people. The day our people can live in freedom and dignity in their ancestral land is long overdue.

#Defiance begins next week on @Channel4 - I’ve watched the whole thing and it’s brilliant. The story of how British Asians in Southall, Brick Lane and Bradford resisted racism, racist violence and stood up for themselves and each other. Overdue yes, but here now and on prime time. Please watch it.
